Would her eggs be Vegan safe?

You know what made me really enjoy Farscape?

(I mean besides the good character development and addictive plot)

The actors. The actors always seemed like they were having fun, or really enjoying their roles. That's what pushed it over the "I like this" line to the "This is in my favourites list"

Oh yeah. Actually, the best thing about that was when two of them moved to SG-1 they kept having that good dynamic. Too bad SG-1 got cancelled pretty much out of nowhere, but what are you gonna do.

Farscape was a blast. It was also super weird at times, and didn't make a ton of sense other times.

So earlier today I attempted to get a coronavirus test from a celebrity who had set up a free testing station in Downtown San Jose. All for the sake of being able to say that it happened

Unfortunately, he wasn't there, but me and my sister decided that "Sean Penn paid someone to stick a long Q-Tip up my nose" counts as one degree of seperation from Sean Penn, so now I have a new laim claim to fame.

Also, this was half a mile from San Jose's historic JapanTown neighborhood. I took pictures for people back in Texas. Anyone like to see them?

uh ... he hires medical professionals for this.

Sean Penn has been running and funding this organization for a long time. It's basically free basic preventive medical care they might not be otherwise available to people who don't have insurance and might not be able to afford it. So what's there to complain about, someone is paying for it, who cares if it's a celebrity who can afford it?

 No.1035074

>>1035071
I deleted it because I later decided I wasn't in the mood. But since you ask...

But what I mean isn't the a cocnern about people administoring the tests. Rather if it's just people self presenting based they feel like it'll be cool to get a covid test 'from' a celeb than whether they should realistically be tested. Sure, people are getting tested. Not arguing that. Just seems slightly egoistic on Penn's part to put together a pop-up in his name than to contribute to a unified effort.

 No.1035075

>>1035074

I mean, they screened if I had had any reason to suspect I had any symptoms before testing. I had been curious if I had had a mild case, cause of a few days where I had a dry cough and body aches and a elevated heart rate for a while. I wanted to know if I was infectious...

>Just seems slightly egoistic on Penn's part to put together a pop-up in his name than to contribute to a unified effort.

Ever discovered some trait of your body you were completely oblivious to?

Like, I haven't let my facial hair grow out in years after the dysphoria of it became too much.

But then the past four days I go without shaving and then this morning I felt like I really needed to shave it off ... only discover I have a blonde mustache I was completely unaware of since I haven't let my facial hair grow out since before I was even capable of growing a mustache.

Anyone else have that kind of experience?

Do you play Mtg: Arena? who's your Avatar? what colors do you main? which deck style do you prefer? Do you play standard or EDH?

I'm mostly a green mage myself, but I've been hooked on Gruul lately. This is my current Chandra elemental deck, that gets me to the diamond ranks on Mtg:A if I play often enough. I don't have the money to actually buy lots of cards all the time so Mtg:Arena makes it really easy for someone like me to enjoy competitive play without breaking the bank.

My avatar is Kaya, along with my slick Regal Caracal deck sleeves.  My main color is black, often with green, and sometimes including blue and red depending on the deck, in that order.  I play midrange, hoping to overwhelm people with triggered effects and passive buffs to my actions.  Lastly, I primarily play Standard (or draft).  Though I'm always interested in EDH, I haven't found a playgroup to weasel into.

Here's my current favorite deck, a mutate concoction.

I wrote a good few paragraphs sorta about this but I decided not to start a thread with that.

Is there something that you thought you'd left behind, but it always comes back to you? In a purely good way, that is. For me it's MLP (which is why I come here or revisit old sites). I've been into it since before I can even remember - going by my later memories, small pieces of evidence, and research I would've gotten my first MLP toys when I was 2 or 3. I've not been as hardcore (not really anymore) about something for so long ever. I've got the passion for something but not the longevity. I guess that's what happens when you really start loving a big, already established franchise.

Makes me wonder about how long things I'm passionate about now will last and what associations I'll have with them in the future. Hopefully they'll all be positive.
