So Scream 4 starts with a montage of all the ridiculous sequels to the fictional film-within-a-film "Stab" series.

But how did they keep making "Stab" movies when nearly the entire cast to "Stab 3" was brutally slaughtered in Scream 3?

Yeah, people really like the idea of a horror shared universe. The only two that explicitly share the same setting in canon are Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday the 13th, because of Freddy vs. Jason. But some fans like to believe other series like Halloween, Child's Play and Hellraiser also exist in that same setting, because of references and Easter eggs.

Those properties all exist as fiction in Scream, but there's nothing to say it cant be the same setting as New Nightmare.

This is the opening scene from "Bride of Chucky". It shows a lot of items from other Horror franchises in a police evidence locker where Chucky's remains are being kept. Obviously it was supposed to be a quick joke for horror fans, but the cool thing about it is that there's a plausible reason for all those things to be in there. At the time the movie came out in 1998, Freddy was dead following the events of "Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare.", Jason was dead following the events of "Jason Goes to Hell" and Micheal Myers was (presumed) dead, following the events of "Halloween H20".

To all those still around, in the West and hopefully not in crippling conditions and/or hooked to life support,
You made it through the second month of the pandemic.
Congratulations.

Give yourself a round of applause.

At this rate, like, a dozen more times escaping the apocalypse like this and you'll be fine. Keep on trucking.
Let's hope we can risk our lives getting that vaccine ASAP now that oiur governments are rushing to put us all on the streets again.

They run the largest video game store in the world, it's not like they could get more people to work on other projects.

The real reason they don't is BECAUSE of the Steam store. It makes the company more money every year than most of their games combined. They don't focus on making games because they really aren't a game making company anymore. And if that's the case, they need to let other people with a passion for making games have a crack at their IPs and run their store as their main business.

Uniqueness doesn't seem to me to enter the picture at all at that particular point. Divisibility is not a question of whether it's possible to build it in a specific way, it's a question of whether it's possible to build it at all. (I'm also not sure what you mean by building x from the lefthand side, we know that that side is divisible by x and that's all we need from it). I suppose there is TECHNICALLY a prime decomposition here on the right even at this point, but it's a decomposition of primes (the qs) into themselves - I think it should be okay to say that for the special case of any given q which is a prime there exists only one prime decomposition (q into q itself), since q by definition won't be divisible by any other positive integer other than 1?

Erf(x) is exact. Its just that erf(x) can be applied to give a probability. I was trying to describe what the erf means as opposed to just what values it spits out.

The only reason it shows in your integral is because it happens to lead to the right answer (unless you saw this integral somewhere and it has some meaning). If you really wanted, you could expand the erf() function. But its simpler to just leave it in.

I thought about how I could write this more clearly. I still think this is enough for that contradiction, but it doesn't hurt to have another way.

Suppose we had a product like so:
p_1 * p_2 * ... * p_n

Let us also have x that is also a prime, not equal to any p_i. (note that it doesn't even have to be smaller than each p_i this time)

Now, because they're all primes, we can write the following:
p_1 ≡ y_1 (mod x)

where y_1 is some natural smaller than x that isn't 0.

Multiply both sides by p_2, and we get:

Hello to one and all! I hope you are having a good time out there! It's finally acting like actual spring/summer where i am and it was a beautiful day for a run <3

now it's been a while since i made a thread, and one question that popped up in my head is the question

are you more of a Maximizer or Satificer!

now you can google the descriptions for further detail, but the biggest differences between them are Maximizers are people that will try to make perfect decisions, and will pour over the options to make the optimal choice

whereas the Satisficer is more likely to go with gut feeling, accept their choices even if they aren't the best, and more likely to go with the flow.

now, if you want a quick test to figure that out for you, you can try this one out!
https://www.psychologistworld.com/cognitive/maximizer-satisficer-decision-making-quiz

I am one to believe that we are mostly somewhere in the middle, but I would totally lean more towards Satisficer, as i usually go with my first draft in stories, want to go with the flow, and actively get aggitated when somebody points out something i missed or could have done better.

so Ponyville! what do you think you are?

Software testing.

It's technically a function where maximizing should be required (and I am totes a maximizer), but due to budget and time constraints you often end up with a satisfizing work instead.

I am really stressed out about this very often.

Do you ever deal with floating-point numbers?  For some reason, I am reminded now of this PHP bug, where entering the string "2.2250738585072011e-308" would cause it to enter an infinite loop:
