so basically i'm kinda just making a stockpile of works, and showcasing some writing in the form of little videos, which take their own time

typically THE best way to get your work in the hands of others is to work in the system itself, ideally in a writers room, or at the very least a PA on set.
alternatively, i could be a director and make my own work, but that's another can of worms that i'd have to consider if i wanna persue that line

>>1192438I guess it depends on where you go. There are bar Karaoke's where it's completely free. You just have to tell the person playing music that you wanna hit the que.
Then there are places where you can rent a private sound proof room for friends.
I used to go to the forest with a close group of drinking friends and we would throw a party every weekend. Some of them played instruments and we would either make up our own songs on the spot or use the blue tooth speaker to pick out things to sing to once another. We would also light up a fire and dance. That was the first time I ever really sang for anyone other than myself in a group setting. It was also the first time I was told by a group of people that I was surprisingly good. It was a pleasant time.

We had plenty of people who 'sucked' but everyone was having a good time. The quality never really mattered, it was about the spirit of joining in. Good times.
I remember one night everyone was listening to rap music and there was this one Russian guy who jumped in with a freestyle. It was the funniest shit I had heard in a long time.
"I'm creeping, got the burner" The he turned to me and
put his finger up to his lips and went "Shhhh.." I started fucking crying laughing, but it was all in good fun.
