With the closure of Ponychan, we have been very privileged to see the arrival of many friends, both old and new.

I hope that our community here at Ponyville will greet our new friends with open, and loving hearts.

If you are a new poster, please do take a look at our rules, located on the home page! The rules are generally pretty lenient, and reports are handled with both a gentle hoof and on a case by case basis.

For the time being, we'll be more lenient with regards to the rules as well, as everyone settles in.

Please also take a look at our options on the top left! If you're more familiar with Ponychan's thumbnails, for example, the miniaturize option might be to your liking!

We have some great themes to try, and a series of delightful ponymotes, too! :trixie2:

My Dearest Ponies,

I'm pleased to announce that after a lot of time and thought, I have decided to take our humble home in a bold new direction.

I've made sure to make this decision without consulting or warning any staff members, or community members, which I believe is consistent with pony image board values.

Our Ponyville home is a humble place, proud to be exactly what it is, but the one thing it lacks is very substantial activity!

To fix this, effective immediately, we will be embracing a bold new direction:

ANIME

You may have heard of this so-called "anime." It's short for Japanese animation, and is famous around the world for its flashy visuals and oriental style!

Our imageboard will be promoted across the anime loving world, with advertisements on different anime subreddits and communities, including Crunchyroll, r/anime_irl, and other such places.

Good evening, pony friends! Your staff has been very hard at work, designing a new experience for the community, here on Ponyville.

We understand there's a lot of controversy about intense discussions on the website. Some users would really like a place to have in-depth debates about various controversial subjects.

Others come to /pony/, however, to find some relief from the day to day difficulties that these subjects can bring up!

/townhall/ is a forced anonymous board that is designed for debates, dialectics, and discussions of a serious nature, with its own tone, and its own rules!

This means as well that we'll be expecting that sort of content to migrate over to townhall, though of course less-serious debates and discussions are always welcome on /pony/.

If you think your discussion or debate might end up in a shouting match, try bringing it over to /townhall/ for some nice, rational discussion.
