Link:
https://archiveofourown.org/works/65397697?view_full_work=trueTitle: "One Ticket Only (To The Stars)"
Synopsis: "On the bluish-green moon of Sudarsky V, Alex Musculus, a small and sensitive mousey student, tries his best to hold on to his human boyfriend, Bryan Brenner, while he also deals with the struggles of being the son of interstellar soldiers. Between awkward cafe dates, strained late-night conversations, haunting memories of memes that hit too close to home, anxiety attacks at war memorials, and more, Alex strains to find his place in Bryan’s life and in a galaxy filled with interspecies tension without losing his very identity in the process. Meanwhile, the university campus is buzzing with chatter about ‘The Club’, with this shadowy online chat featuring other furfolk venting about the desires of being carried, clutched, cuddled, and the like by humans. Alex questions more and more what he really wants, and his rose-colored glasses view of the partnership between furfolk and humanity, standing up to the dominant species in the galaxy, risks cracking forever."

it was just orientation and a tour of the park for the ride operators. as for me, i've been put on the front ride supervisor position; which i have never been on the front rides, so all the rides are new to me >< i have been trained on most of them, but it's gonna be a looooooot of improvisation on my part
have you ever had a chai tea latte? it's basically that; masala chai has black tea leaves, milk, sugar, and a blend of spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, cloves, and black pepper typically; and it gives a nice little spice to the chocolate and makes it taste fancy ^_^

it's hard to say if one side is more important than the other. The front rides are where people enter the park, so it's peoples first impression; plus the train and skyride is there; but the back rides have the bigger rides, as well as the ferris wheel; so depends on what you value most
well i used this tea
>pic relatedand steeped it in a normal coffee cup of water,
then when it was ready, added the chocolate, and a little bit of milk; and it is DIVINE!

>>1190761With how advance AI is getting, I like the idea of an open-world fantasy game such as Elder Scrolls, but an AI serving as both game master and roleplaying as various NPCs.
There could still be a story to follow, but the AI/Game Master would be flexible around how the player progress through the adventure and interact with NPCs.
While it may seem impossibly advance, "The Sims" come to mind on how each sim has their own personality, hobbies, feelings and memory towards one another. If these factors were applies to NPCs in my fantasy game, the AI/Game Master could use these factors to roleplay characters with.

High-Speed Steel (HSS), while not as hard as WC, is significantly more tough. Toughness refers to a material's ability to absorb energy and plastically deform without fracturing.

>>1190764I've yet to play other Elder Scrolls games, but I like Skyrim (I'm still on the fence over getting Oblivion) What I like about Elder Scrolls games is you can make your character and parttake in the adventure your own way.
But, what I don't like about Skyrim... as well as Fallout 3 and 4, is that you have a predetermined route as well as role to play.
In Fo3, you have daddy issues.
In Skyrim, you're the messiah.
In Fo4, you have baby issues.
While these character establishments doesn't define the player to how they play, it did felt like the games were dumping character traits on me.
Fallout: New Vegas, all that is established is your profession as a courier and who you are is up to you.
If there was an open-world fantasy adventure with an AI game master, this would not only allow the player to define their own characetrs story from interacting with NPCs, but the AI/game master could perhaps work with it if it's within the programming.
For example, if you tell an NPC you're actually an alien from another planet even though there's no sci-fi assets in the game, the AI will likely humour the player to divert them off the subject, or if the player says they're from another kingdom in continuity, the AI could perhaps generate a side-quest with NPCs from what the AI learned from the players.
I imagine such a game would be the close to a realistic isekai game if it can be an adventure catered for the player.

>>1190767There can still be set goals and a fixed objective, there can even be set side quests. Just plenty of legroom for how the player achieves the goal.
Take Zelda: Link to the Past and Ocarina of Time. What these games have in common are:
1. Link must collect three treasures that represent the Goddesses to get the master Sword.
2. Link must venture into seven dungeons to rescue seven sages. Zelda is the Eighth sage.
3. Link must defeat Ganon.
They're rather basic objectives and there's plenty of side-quests around them. But because the entire game is predetermined means that while challenge is still present for the player, it is still a determined route.
If I could make such a game, I would make my "GoldEdge" game out of it. GoldEdge is somewhat a fan game of
Golden Axe, but it can be it's own thing with some easy tweaks.
(I know I go on and on about my game ideas, but GoldEdge is just an old idea of mine that i just don't possess the skills to make.)

I think what's eating me a lot is that multiple years ago I was able to write things that I'd put online and get like 2,000 hits or so with a smattering of direct comments, or even do better than that, which isn't that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things but felt affirming in a way that I wonder maybe isn't quite the same for me anymore. And wouldn't feel that joyful even if I did get a lot of hits once more.

>>1190821Yeah, I think a lot has shifted in the context.
A big part of it is my sense of faith in the future and in broader community connections, which have steadily frayed more and more from the beginning of 2020 to now. I guess. Oh, well.
It's like:
>Naturally enough, if I'm going to be writing about LGBT characters, especially if they're in love, me being less and less confident in whether or not being LGBT is a kind of secret flower that you must bury in a hidden garden such that you prevent most people from doing what most people want in stomping that into mud... eh. Same thing with me feeling more and more that maybe interracial relationships are too much of a risk. Same with other things being too much of a risk.
There's not really a point in writing LGBT characters being happy and not winding up dead, homeless, in jail, et cetera, especially those who're in contrasting relationships, I suppose... like... if it seems that I'm lying in an obnoxious or even horrible fashion pretending that such things are worthwhile. I only am going to get that into reading and writing things if I can accept psychologically that happiness is 'deserved'.
There's always sex, though. It may be forbidden to be openly gay or whatever in a lot of places, but you can always look at all of the pornography that you want. I guess. Funny how that works. There's also casual hookup websites and other such stuff to keep yourself going even if you're not going to actually be meaningfully fulfilled in life.

Like I could write more about fighting in the First World War or some alternate history version of it, but... eh... there's not really a clear-cut scenario in my mind. I also don't think that I'd enjoy actually coming up with more battle scenes with graphic violence even if I focused on it.
What do you usually look for in 'your kind of story', anyways? Am curious!

I mean I'll still like that stuff, no matter what, but I'll like it the way that a cocaine addict likes sniffing a line off of a mirror.
Eh. Life is what it is.
I'm reminded of how my location is currently about to pass a law stating that civil rights as they apply to men and women only are valid if a given "man" is directly defined as "an individual whose biological reproductive system has developed to fertilize the ova of a female" while a given "woman" must be "an individual whose biological reproductive system has developed to produce ova".
I mean not only is it legally abnormal and wrong to be LGBT just inherently, but I could present as a heterosexual cisgender man in a relationship with a heterosexual cisgender women only to still be a horrible deviant who should be dead according to most individuals because I'm not having kids / haven't had a kid. That's American moral values. Christian moral values. Family moral values. Civilization. Tradition. Just the way things are.

He's literally the only one. Every other father, mother, stepmother, and stepmother is quite depressive and anxious about what they see as inferior children. At least in my life experience.
Even Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., the man in charge of America's health care system more or less, is speaking for American parents and families when he talks about the necessarily guilt and shame that biologically inferior children who happen to have autism, to be deaf, to be blind, to be hard of hearing, to be in wheelchairs, and so on giving those that must take care of them.

Haven't really been able to manage that yet, and I guess I'm wondering if it's even really in the cards for me. Eh.

>>1191086can't say it was a rough day, it was just training and some cleanup around the park; but i didn't feel like i was really doing any actual leading, cause the people who were already trained in that area were able to take the reins and get everyone up to date; so in that way it went smoothly
but it was the fact that i had to so heavily rely on what are supposed to be my crew to do even sorta basic stuff cause i was thrown into a foreign land; as well as little things like forgetting keys, and not really knowing what to do when certain things were done throughout the day
i dunno, i just felt like i was out of my depth, and i feel either of the 2 ride opps that basically trained everyone should have taken the supervisor role over me
i mean, at least i was present so i could confirm that everyone was trained, so i can verify that in writing

if gamer elbow persists for more than 4 hours, seek emergency gamer fuel!
