I have my issues with them, but with quotes I just don't find them useful. If the idea presented is valid, I'll absorb the idea. If not, I won't. At that point the quote itself stops being useful to me, other than as a tool of spreading the idea to others. And, well, if an idea is good, I should be able to compose my own words for it. Rolling out a quote (bundled with a picture and a Famous Name perhaps!) in such circumstances feels like a show of a lack of confidence, papered over by an attempt at stealing someone else's credibility.

Basically, the story I came up with was that a fire spirit that had formed an alliance with a small tribe saw said tribe wiped out by a private Warforged militia owned by a noble who wanted to use their land for his own gain, so it took residence inside one of the abandoned Warforged and is now just more or less out to take away wealth and resources from those that don't deserve it.

His backstory is that he grew up near a seaside town, though his community didn't interact with it much except for occasional trading with the townsfolk. One day, the town was being raided by pirates while he was in town doing a delivery, he saw a strange looking staff abandoned on the ground while everyone was running around in a panic. He picked up the staff and noticed a strange lever on it, and when he touched the lever, an explosion was emitted from the other end of the "staff" (a musket), knocking him on his backside from the recoil. Where most little kobolds would've been traumatized from the noise and force, he recognized it as power, and now the power was his, and he wanted more.

And for Polish, well, there are a few regional differences so I could go with that and basically stick to the letter of the question while completely avoiding the spirit... unless we go with the distinction between "generic country wide" vs "deep deep rural", but that's not much of a choice in terms of options available, and boy is the deeeeeeeeeep rural hard to understand. I had some family who spoke with it, had no idea what they were saying half the time.

He's a bardic sorcerer tiefling, but where most bards use music, Razael uses the written word, with his giant quill (basically a quarterstaff with flavor text). He's another one I want to flesh out more at some point, though I probably need to be blasted in order to capture Thompson's essence and make it feel like a recognizable expy.
