As said, things can be rather cozy, but it's been a bit since we just had a fresh chatty thread.

A few years ago I had a bit of fun here posting highlights from a Stellaris game with the Star Trek mod. Well, recently Dwarf Fortress released on Steam, I was thinking maybe I could post here about my first attempt at a fortress and the undoubtedly ignoble end these dwarves will have.

In recent memory, at least. Maybe things were better in some ways when I was like 17? But I was also suicidal then, and I'm not now, and I'm free of a lot of the anxieties and insecurities and uncertainties I had then. Maybe I was having more "fun" on average in some ways, but I certainly had much lower lows too. So it's hard to calculate.

The things I was anxious about (gender/transition, love life, adulthood, getting a real job) all turned out or are turning out okay for the most part. Was kind of afraid that none of the things that I wanted are possible but I've been very lucky.

I was still kind of a mess at 24/25 tbh (28 now) so don't worry. I think everyone's kind of a mess in their mid 20s nowadays, it's just the human condition.
