I think a lot of the issues with farming and all of that is the view people have. They see them as these big dumb white dudes with a small army of Mexicans that work for pennies, which to an extent is true (if not a huge exaggeration). But people tend to forget that a shit ton of work and investment goes into farming and unfortunately not many Americans seem interested even if they were paid a decent wage.

People also forget that businesses fuck a lot of people when it comes to food. That food is heavily subsidized. The food should be a lot cheaper,  but companies are greedy as fuck.

Just about 60% of those identified as Republicans while just about 40% expressed differing opinions. This means that there's broadly support for a certain set of things without absolute uniformity existing at all. Interestingly, the 20% of individuals describing themselves as political independents may or may not have viewpoints that could be swayed by changes in the parties' actions.

I realize that I'm probably going to be ignored, but facts are facts.

I wish there was a way to get individuals like Trump and his counterparts in Africa to just shut the hell up about their identity politics obsessions and simply allow normal people to get along with each other.

I miss being able to just openly be a white person with friends, neighbors, romantic partners, and the like who're black before the right-wing made me a target for doing so, and before everybody had to get pitted against each other in order to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. I miss the 2000s, 1990s, and the like before this identity politics bullshit so badly. Those were the days. Back in those days, people laughed at some lunatic if that fanatic quoted Hitler approvingly or ranted about Jews trying to poison their children.

I hope and pray that what's been going on in Africa isn't imported to the U.S. by our politicans.

I feel like a lot of opinions come from anecdotal experiences, (as with pretty much every 'era' of leadership and social change.) At my last job there were a shit ton of Maga trump supporters who came from various low income backgrounds. Typical thuggish ruggish bone types, and yet they seemed to find my personality pretty infectious. (Compliments, asking people how they're doing and genuinely giving a fuck, cracking jokes, ect.) I think a majority of that comes from the internet.

I'm pretty sure (while there might be an increase in the past decade or two. I admittedly dont subscribe to statistics religiously) that violence, pedophiles, rape, ect have always been present, but the rise in technology has simply exposed it more so easily.

Growing up in those years, I can say with confidence that people have always and will always be racist. It was just more easily accepted back then. But, these are my own experiences.

Before organized civilization, people just beat the shit out of each other all the time. And raped kids routinely. And constantly died of infectious diseases. And, sadly, much of the world still lives like that.

I want to live in organized civilization, with satellite launches and antibiotic pills. With interracial couples having gay, bi, and trans kids. With disabled workers being side by side other workers building skyscrapers and other wonders of amazing beauty. With men and women having happy relationships together.

I don't want to live in the shit-for-brains Trump style existence of people urinating into buckets and operating stoves with wooden blocks as they pray for Jesus to send tornados unpon their neighbors that the Trump supporters are trying to enact upon this country.

I want intelligence, ethics, and empathy to be praised. I want economic growth. I want scientific progress. I want backwardness to be condemned. I want recessions and depressions to be condemned. I want stupidity, cruelty, and hatred to be condemned.

I want off the Trump crazy train.

When I was younger, people used to have hope in the future. People used to talk about men landing on Mars. People used to talk about curing cancer. People used to talk about veteran homelessness being stopped for good.

People used to believe in morally idealistic values bigger than themselves. I miss that. I miss having the ability to think that future generations could live better lives. I miss it so much.
