I bet you think you believe in class solidarity don't you?

I really don't have to because redneck has evolved into a class word for working people that "our better" can cast down on us to make us small and assume us simple minded.
And that means the entire working class.

No my issue with OP is that this gives, "I am a leftist and hold the ideas of leftist". Great, shitting on people, that I can only assume you think fell for propaganda that would benefit from your policies is not the best effort of your time.

Sure get the womp womp out of the way but its been months of farms and the entire agriculture sector having massive strains on it.

If OP held what I can only assume he believes true then we would stop shitting on farmers and turn the ire against the people that caused it.

We either lift together or we sink in the mud at this point.

All I'm saying is that if it were a bunch of darker skinned urban folk who voted for Trump, I doubt OP would be like "Typical THUGS. These drug slanging gangsters losing the hood to own the libs"

Or some shit. I dont know. It just sounded funny in my head.

Nah you're good. I can sort of see what you mean. What bothers me about the word redneck is that while people insist it isn't a racial term, it sure as fuck is used as one often.

>farmers
I think a lot of the issues with farming and all of that is the view people have. They see them as these big dumb white dudes with a small army of Mexicans that work for pennies, which to an extent is true (if not a huge exaggeration). But people tend to forget that a shit ton of work and investment goes into farming and unfortunately not many Americans seem interested even if they were paid a decent wage.

(Going on a tangent)
People also forget that businesses fuck a lot of people when it comes to food. That food is heavily subsidized. The food should be a lot cheaper,  but companies are greedy as fuck.

A majority of U.S. farmers have been Republicans over the past several years, but it should be highlighted that the bloc isn't an absolute monolith subject to clear-cut assumptions.

Here's a relevant news story: https://www.aginfo.net/report/58605/Southeast-Regional-Ag-News/Agri-Pulse-Poll-Shows-Farmers-Support-Donald-Trump

Just about 60% of those identified as Republicans while just about 40% expressed differing opinions. This means that there's broadly support for a certain set of things without absolute uniformity existing at all. Interestingly, the 20% of individuals describing themselves as political independents may or may not have viewpoints that could be swayed by changes in the parties' actions.

I realize that I'm probably going to be ignored, but facts are facts.

>racist attacks by white people against black people referenced
>racist attacks by black people against white people referenced
>political conservatives are pathologically mentally not capable of understanding that racism is inherently bad regardless of victim and should be opposed in all cases
>black conservatives preaching hate
>white conservatives preaching hate
>general society breaks down

It's pretty horrible.

I wish there was a way to get individuals like Trump and his counterparts in Africa to just shut the hell up about their identity politics obsessions and simply allow normal people to get along with each other.

I miss being able to just openly be a white person with friends, neighbors, romantic partners, and the like who're black before the right-wing made me a target for doing so, and before everybody had to get pitted against each other in order to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. I miss the 2000s, 1990s, and the like before this identity politics bullshit so badly. Those were the days. Back in those days, people laughed at some lunatic if that fanatic quoted Hitler approvingly or ranted about Jews trying to poison their children.

I hope and pray that what's been going on in Africa isn't imported to the U.S. by our politicans.

I hope and pray that we can move to considering our fellow human beings as brothers and sisters through God's just eyes, with Him loving all ethnic and racial groups through His grace.

 No.15439

>>15410
I dont think the right made white people into targets, at the very least not alone. If you're saying that white right wing extremists did that, then it could be said the majority of minorities created their own image through stereotypes.

Maybe it's true and maybe it isn't. Hell, maybe you're right. Though the 90's really wasn't that much better.

>"Who made black people into targets?"
Racist political extremist groups and the militants who make them up did.

>"Who made white people into targets?"
Racist political extremist groups and the militants who make them up did.

The revolutionary communist dude in the New Black Panther Party in the U.S. or African related organizations that talk about "ethnic purity" is the same morally and ethically as the neo-Nazi dude in the modern KKK offshoots in America or African related organizations that talk about "ethnic purity".

It's the same evil. Just reflected in a mirror so pointed in another direction. Yet the same.

That chronologically the far-right political militants came first and the far-left ones came later matters, in historical terms, in the U.S. and across Africa. That doesn't really change practicalities, though. Both are threats to democratic moral values.

Unfortunately, it's the MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN era, so me and people like me are doomed to fail horribly. With there being no chance of anything becoming better.

It's going to be all racial identity politics (plus more) all of the time. Because of MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. You're not allowed to just be a nice person who treats everybody with compassion. No, that's weak/pussy/sissy/doormat/etc talk. You have to be obsessively political all of the time.

And if you don't like that, then Trump / the Trumpists will burn you like ants torched by a child with a magnifying glass.

I hope and pray to live to better times.

>You're not allowed to just be a nice person who treats everybody with compassion.
I feel like a lot of opinions come from anecdotal experiences, (as with pretty much every 'era' of leadership and social change.) At my last job there were a shit ton of Maga trump supporters who came from various low income backgrounds. Typical thuggish ruggish bone types, and yet they seemed to find my personality pretty infectious. (Compliments, asking people how they're doing and genuinely giving a fuck, cracking jokes, ect.) I think a majority of that comes from the internet.

 No.15455

>>15451
It's very, very obviously not the internet alone, not when it's completely normalized to have things like the fucking Jewish Museum in D.C. subject to a shooting attack in which two innocents were gunned down, like to the point where you probably haven't even heard of it until I referenced that recent thing just now.

It's normalized to call people the n-word in public, to harass those going into bathrooms, to send victims unsolicited sexual messages including naked pictures, and God knows what else

All of this bullshit is now considered "natural", "normal", "standard", and so on, but back in the 90s and 00s it really fucking wasn't

Back then, the idea that you'd a coinflip chance as to whether or not the person next to you at a certain social event looks at child pornography would be insane

It'd also be insane to think that people getting shot in the context of going to religious institutions would be treated as a ho-hum matter like weather forecasts about rain

Somebody insulting an interracial couple with the n-word would be a lunatic who needs to go to a mental hospital and not a highly respected figure of political strength

A dude fucking a fourteen-year-old girl would be a pedophile rapist and not somebody with a respected life choice who's a good Christian family man who's been a stalwart part of Biblical family values

Things changed, and fuck that, I want the old America back

Actually the messed up part is that everything you just mentioned is pretty normal in a majority of the world. Granted not what we consider "1st world" countries.
>All of this bullshit is now considered "natural", "normal", "standard", and so on, but back in the 90s and 00s it really fucking wasn't
I'm pretty sure (while there might be an increase in the past decade or two. I admittedly dont subscribe to statistics religiously) that violence, pedophiles, rape, ect have always been present, but the rise in technology has simply exposed it more so easily.
>Somebody insulting an interracial couple with the n-word would be a lunatic who needs to go to a mental hospital and not a highly respected figure of political strength
Growing up in those years, I can say with confidence that people have always and will always be racist. It was just more easily accepted back then. But, these are my own experiences.

I mean, fuck, Hollywood and Prowrestling were at some of its highest peaks in the 80s and 90s and both were essentially a pit of Slaaneshi activity.

 No.15465

It's pretty normal in China, Iran, Russia, and so on. You're correct. Which I don't want to spread to America.

Before organized civilization, people just beat the shit out of each other all the time. And raped kids routinely. And constantly died of infectious diseases. And, sadly, much of the world still lives like that.

I want to live in organized civilization, with satellite launches and antibiotic pills. With interracial couples having gay, bi, and trans kids. With disabled workers being side by side other workers building skyscrapers and other wonders of amazing beauty. With men and women having happy relationships together.

I don't want to live in the shit-for-brains Trump style existence of people urinating into buckets and operating stoves with wooden blocks as they pray for Jesus to send tornados unpon their neighbors that the Trump supporters are trying to enact upon this country.

I want intelligence, ethics, and empathy to be praised. I want economic growth. I want scientific progress. I want backwardness to be condemned. I want recessions and depressions to be condemned. I want stupidity, cruelty, and hatred to be condemned.

I want off the Trump crazy train.

When I was younger, people used to have hope in the future. People used to talk about men landing on Mars. People used to talk about curing cancer. People used to talk about veteran homelessness being stopped for good.

People used to believe in morally idealistic values bigger than themselves. I miss that. I miss having the ability to think that future generations could live better lives. I miss it so much.

Pretty sure it's the left who has been taking the stance of trying their damnedest to ruin your life if you're guilty of wrongthink who say you're not allowed to just be a nice person.

People on the right have just gotten fed up with it, and that's about it.
It was the time of sowing for the left, which means now is the time for reaping.

The irony at play here is that murder was not committed by a Trumpian devotee. No, instead, it was a radical leftist, who shouted free Palestine as they were taken away.

It was the inevitable result of decades of left wing justification and even glorification of violence.
You were always going to see results like this. It isn't even the first time it's happened.
