>>1203686oh yeah, there are still some tweaks; i can't seem to get the model to look up, despite the parameters allowing her in the editor, i think that might either be a camera level issue or just an unfortunate fact that my eyes are always half lidded, so the software is not able to understand it. ill find a way to fix it
i also did have to fix some layering issue in the mouth that was peeking out. it is very minor and i doubt anyone would have noticed, but it's still somethin i wanted to get done
and outside of that, i am fine tuning it to make it more natural; where it's not spazzing out all over the place, but also where it's not just a statue that barely moves. that i feel like i'm honing in on a very nice sweet spot!
i also plan on doing art/animation streams eventually when i get the other assets done, so i'll have to moutn my camera and ring light in a way to capture my movement and stuff while i draw

>>1203701I was "thinking", but not going to make promise or get my hopes up... I was wondering why the Phantasy Star Tetralogy games have not been remade for 3D yet.
But... that may still be a bit too much. So I was thinking 3D remake of Golden Axe Warrior. A Golden Axe game styled after The Legend of Zelda at the time.
I mean, I've seen a fan remake The Legend of Zelda into a 3D so... roughly same concept, right?
And while I may not be a master at making 3d models, I bet I can do low-poly at the very least.

No.1203705
>>1203703>>1203704I believe it depends on how to go about it.
For example, the 3D remakes of Final Fantasy III and IV. They didn't go full budget remake like they did with Final Fantasy VII, it was (mostly) the same game, just the tile-base terrain and props translated into low-poly 3D renders.
Other than that, there are some games that do need a polish or some improvements. For example, Sega AGES Phantasy Star for the Switch is the same game under its original screen ratio, but given the extra space modern screens have, they used the extra space to have dungeon maps and visible stat counters the original game didn't have.
Other than that, there are old Sega games I wish Sega will give another chance to, but likely they won't.
For example, if I was
that good of a game developer, I would remake Rise of Nightmares, but as a VR game. I understand why Rise of Nightmares was not that successful of a game, but I believe if given a second chance as a VR game, it would have more success with second wind.
But, I'm not going to lock-on, dedicate or promise myself anything. When I was a child, I was dedicated to the dream of making video games, but I kept coming across errors and failures that wore away that passion. Especially when it comes to coding and how daunting it is.
Now days, Unity has just become easier and accessible to use and with ChatGPT capable at writing C# code for Unity users, I have less excuse to get back into it these days.

Largely, your GM wont be deliberately trying to kill you, a lot of games have you "downed" rather than outright dead outside of extreme situations. Plus, there are plenty of systems more focused on exploration or rokeplaying than combat and deadly situations. Even then, many GMs will reward creative problem solving over "murder hobo"-ing your way through.
Of course, you also face systems that ARE made to he deadly, where the whole point is that you need to be careful and not act like youre Conan the Barbarian. These can definitely also be a lot of fun. One of my favorite campaigns I've tried were like this, forcing us all to be very careful and think out of the box. The campaign straight up ended with an impulsive action on my part forcing me and one other player' characters into gladiator battles with Execution on the line.
I won. He didn't. We had a full on funeral, and the emotional weight of it caused the party to split up out of a mix of grief, shame and frustration.
Now, this session WAS our last for that year so the campaign would've been put on hold or ended either way, but none of this was planned, and everyone loved it cause we'd been theough a lot of crazy shit and it really felt like an unexpected story twist.
Point is - tabletop RPG is not about "winning". There'll be a lot of ribbing and joking about bad rolls, but if you can find a decent group, everyone is there to enjoy the adventure with warts and all - not to treat it like a WoW Raid.

If they do, they attempt to do it, and if you interrupt it in any way they concede. If you can't interrupt it, then you've lost.
All this basically amounts to you just don't get actual games of Magic.

>>1203762>>1203768Hm... well, I never hosted a VTube or Twitch Stream or the like. But I have a few suggestions you might like.
1. Pine Forest clearing
Doesn't have to be in winter, just a plain pine forest clearing. Or maybe a "nook" within a pine forest such as a wooden platform or garden that Navi can decorate.
During October, the forest turns dark and spooky and during December, it's covered in snow, where Navi may decorate with lights.
2. Cottagecore
When it comes to Christmas as an "aesthetic", my favourite sub-genre of it is "Victorian Christmas". A time when modern Christmas traditions were introduced to our country from the German-side of Queen Victoria's family, a minature ice age keeping UK winters white and Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol" hit the shelves.
Cottagecore is also a rather Victorian aesthetic. While often associated with Spring or Summer, it still primarily Earthy and homey. And can be complimented with lodges. For a more fantasy-direction, think Hobbit Holes.
If "Victorian Christmas" isn't your thing, there are other sub-genres to choose from, or maybe you can mix with other aesthetics to find more Navi's thing.
3. Wrapping paper
Just some plain green Christmas wrapping paper. Maybe a bit crinkled to show age and wear. Maybe star-shaped snowflakes pattern.
Just a few ideas off the top of my head.

Political take
I have been watching the History of the Earth channel a bit further. There's a lot of explanation for how the earth evolves in geology and climate based on the sort of chemistry and geological events that has been going on.
Like, at this point I am still wondering how we're so far into the "Climate change is a hoax story".
Either you have to reject all the science of things that aren't even directly bound to climate change.
We as a species dump so much waste and whatever into the ecosystem, like no other biological process can ever forsee and then we must go "It's fine the geo chemistry won't care".

>>1203776I think it's the belief that nature itself will always persevere. That even in highly polluted or radiated areas, life finds a way to adapt and so on. Even nature itself can be regarded "guilty of pollution" if you count volcanoes spewing natural gasses into the atmosphere. I believe the only way to destroy nature would be to fully destroy the atmosphere and make the world as barren as Mercury or Mars.
When people think "we're hurting the environment", most think we're hurting nature itself. That's not true. An environment is a part of nature that sustains specific life. So we're not killing off nature, we're killing off ourselves and all those around us really.

>>1203777Yeah, that last bit is kind of the important part.
Like, climates change, that is what climates do, "the climate" is not some previously set in stone thing. One of the things that can change climates is overpopulation of a particular species, and right now that species is kind of us. And we're kind of unique compared to wolves or invasive fish, because we're one of the only species to be like "Oh, if we keep going, it'll damage
us." Wolves don't have the insight that if they keep eating everything and breeding then there'll be too many wolves and not enough food and the entire habitat collapses for everyone involved, which is just a thing we can watch happen. Humans are at a point where they get to ask a question that the wolves don't know how to process. Where are we in that potential cycle and what do we do about it?
And there's a lot of answers and this isn't really the place for it, but I always think it's important to understand the question, at the very least.

Rough night. Only got broken sleep. But better than no sleep.
>>1203840I, too, have a Christmas coded character, but I've yet to put them on paper.
I've come up with my own "Christmas Lore" which explains things like:
• How does Santa deliver presents to everyone around the world? (He sort of doesn't.)
• If elves "make" the toys and present, how is Santa allowed to gift licensed products?
• If the North Pole is depicted as flooded on maps, where does Santa live?
• Cultural and social structures of the elves and the North Pole.
I came up with a group of elves I call the North Rangers. While they serve as protectors of the North Pole, they're also the intelligence agency, tasked with "protecting Christmas". Kind of like the elves in Arthur Christmas or Prep and Landing who help Santa deliver presents with gadgets and the like.
Only instead of fancy gadgets, the North Ranger's essentials are rather simple. Oversize candy cane as a hook and bludgeoning weapon, a bag of sleeping sand for those who are awake and most rangers ride reindeer of their own.
Some North Rangers have weapons, such as ice arrows, but they're more for stopping targets than anything lethal.
Two particular members of North Rangers I came up with are Lametta and her captain Garland. I didn't want to just name these elves cutesy twinkle-toe names like most Christmas media does and choose Christmas names and terms I find either obscure or just pretty-sounding.
I was thinking, if I ever finished that Christmas book of mine ("Is Santa Real? A Book for Teen-Life Crisis"), even if it's not a storybook, it would be nice to make stories or adaptions from it.

>>1203941you could say that
it started on monday, where my dad was dealing with shortness of breath stuff, and we assumed it was related to the cancer treatments and wahtnot;
my dad contacted his cancer doctor to see what he had to say, and he suggested getting a blood transfusion, because chemo makes people aneimic and he thought it was probably related to that. and they were able to schedule an infusion on wednesday morning
we show up to the infusion, and while he has trouble getting in without stopping to catch his breath, we make it in. they hook him up and he gets a unit of blood transfused
however, it was at this time they took his vitals, and his pulse was a steady 38, which is way too low.
so low in fact, they took him to the emergency room
where they stripped him down, checked everything and took an xray. it happened so quick i couldn't even think for moment
then as soon as it happened, it then slowed down to a crawl. and we waited for nearly an hour before somebody came in to talk with us.
it was a cardiologist, and after checking on my dad, has determined that the electrical signals in his heart were not communicating with eachother, which lead to the dangerously low heart rate, and if left unattended, would probably lead to heart failure in a matter of days
so their solution was to put in a pacemaker
they took him away to get his pacemaker in, and i was left alone in the waiting room for hours, just left in fear and anxiety
fortunately somebody came and gotten me and took me to his room, where the surgery was a success; and i was able to talk and comfort my dad
he was still very tired and rattled, partly cause of the ordeal, but also because he was already messed up by the chemo
they ran some other tests on him, and we are waiting on a colonoscopy as well
but he's been at the hospital since wednesday, and they say he probably won't be able to leave until sunday or monday.
i'm happy his heart is fixed, but it has been a toll on him, and on me as well. and frankly, i've been in a mood since;
sorry for the trauma dump

>>1203963Its an indie film produced, directed by and starring Markiplier, based on an indie horror game where youvsteer a salvage submarine on a planet covered in a ocean of blood.
The game is well recieved, and theres been a lot of buzz around this production because it's a fairly unusual situation and Markiplier out a lot fo work into not just getting it msde but getting it a much wider distribtion than something like this would normally get.
Of course, it only got like rwo days lf screenings ib my cointry do fuck me I guess.
No.1203965
>>1203964Oooh, I remember that game!
Set in a galaxy where the stars are going out, and takes place on a small planet where the ocean is fresh blood.
It's both a criminal punishment and a duty for those to be stuck in a rickety submarine with no windows, practically blind, save for a sonar, map and a camera that takes grainy photos.
What I find interesting of the blood-ocean concept is that the creatures that live in it must not have means to produce or circulate their own red blood cells and must share the ocean of blood for it. That and somehow the blood ocean is collecting oxygen for these creatures.

>>1204051Not particularly, but its one of the best known from this season precisely because it's so infamous.
But we are in season 8 here. This is an odd time in the series, as David Duchovny was trying to leave the series and get into film acting. So for the first half of the season, and with the series alteady dipping in popularity at the time (though far from "dead" or hated), Mulder is written put and teplaced with a new agent namez John Doggett, played by Robert Patrick. An character and actor people like, for sure, but not exactly a move people loved back in 2001.
