But to try and give a quick summary;
Ceaser is dead. As seen in the image I first posted at the start of the thread he is a skeleton being propped up and semi deified, you know like how North Korea treat the corpses of their former leaders. It's not confirmed how he died so hey feel free to say it was your courier who 360 noscoped him if you want that to be your own headcanon. The show has not confirmed any endings of New Vegas to be canon but the NCR are in small numbers, the Legion are still kind of sort of around and so are the Khans. If you ask me it sort of feels like the independent/yes man ending in which you tell everyone to fuck off and they do but promise to come back later feels like it fits best.
Anyways in the years since Caesars death the Legion split in two with two rival factions forming both with their own Caesar and with both claiming to be the "real Legion" and the rightful heirs to Caeser and so both these sides are stuck in a stalemate civil war type of deal
