It starts out as a serviceable action RPG with an interesting storyline. But the gacha system will inevitably creep in and suddenly it's just not the same anymore. The moment you start craving challenging end-game content it's over. And even if you just tread a little bit down that path out of curiosity, maybe save up all your freebies and pick up 1 or 2 limited 5 star characters that you like, suddenly you've power-crept all the casual content into a trivial dialogue mash. (which happens to also be the story progression). Plus the character focus eclipses the story progression at some point.

Now I see why people talk about ignoring the weakness/break system. I stopped at the part where it warned me that I would lose access to certain quests on that space station world if I continued, mostly just because I'd burned myself out at that point. I like the Star Rail's gameplay way better, definitely more into turn based RPGs but I just can't force myself to care about the plot at all. Sad because the Star Rail team actually cares about making it a serviceable game at every level, even for the casual.

I quit my job and the psych ward are offering me loads of volunteer jobs and I'm agreeing to every one of them. The plan is to have something new to do each day.
I'm a bit of a lost soul myself right now but I believe I can overcome my psychopathology (you call it ASPD over there according to YouTube?) just like anyone else with a mental disorder or chronic disease in general can overcome theirs.
I might not be able to become a good person but they told me I should focus on performing good deeds. I don't think just sitting around at home will enable me to do that.
