>>1201328A bit of poor planning on my end, but also some coincidences.
>I figured spending the weekend with my family at a Harvest Festival or a Halloween Festival, but couldn't find any of interest in close vicinity.>Had some spooky games planned, but my controller is on it's last legs. I gave it to my brother in hopes he can repair it, but I haven't heard from it since.>Waiting for the XBox Adaptive Joystick to play spooky GMod maps and Sinister Halloween with, yet eBay said it may not arrive until November.Other than that, while there are a few storefronts decorations and parties here and there, it doesn't feel like my town is all that in to Halloween. They actually set up the Christmas street lights a few days a go.
This is why I lack a Halloween Spirit. There's hardly anything for me to do on Halloween other than watch some horror films.

>>1201333Yeah, but no pumpkins or decorations this year, or last year, or next year.
I don't mind trick or treaters, but I'm not going down two flights of stairs just to answer the door all night long.

>>1201334Stay down at the door for an hour or two!

>>1201335My house is above an advent shop, a shop that sells Christian products and memorabilia. I don't have direct access to the shop (I have to leave through the front door and enter the shop like the other customers), nor it is my business or the like. I know the shop owners and I like to regard them as my neighbours even though they don't live in the shop.
But because the shop takes up the entirety of the ground floor, when you enter my front door of my house, the first thing is the coat hall and an immediate flight of stairs leading up to the second floor where the "house" is.
The first floor is the toilets+shower, kitchen, living room and dining area, though we mostly use the dining area as the living room and the actual living room as additional space. The kitchen leads to the wooden platform that overlooks the neighbour's gardens and surrounding area and some concrete steps down to the backyard, which is just paved cement.
The second floor is the bedrooms and that's where me and my brother spends the majority of our time. We don't have a TV licence and why need one when we got YouTube and other streaming sites on our computers, we have our dinners at our computers etc.
So if it's the early hours of the morning and the doorbell rings, I have to pull myself out of bed, try to get trousers on in a half-groggy state, go down two flights of stairs and hope the postman or whoever rang had the decency to read the message we stuck on the door asking them to wait at least two minutes.
So while I'm all for Halloween hijinx, I'm not spending tomorrow night going up and down two flights of stairs, just to answer the door to sugar-bandits.
