As for them being all indestructible and what not: if I recall correctly, the Tyranids have actually been developing ways to digest and eat their living metal bodies. I mean they literally eat rocks that are rich in minerals on a planet. Doesn't seem outta the picture.
They've also made a hive fleet specifically designed to combat chaos. They're ranged specialists. Interestingly enough, it makes me wonder if they're going to find a way to consume raw warm energy as well. Zananthropes are a thing as well as the Shadow in the Warp.
