Been thinking about actually getting back into watching anime/manga again, but so many of them are.. hard to get into (terrible). Trying to be a bit more open minded.

Any recommendations to watch/read something good?

Manga or anime?

I actually was just looking at Outlaw Star. I'm gonna check it out. Is Lucky Star really even worth it? The manga seemed nice to casually read, but the anime just didn't seem to hit as well.

lucky star is just nice to relax to in a certain way, like you are in a high school or college cafeteria listening to other ponies talk about everyday things/watching them play out

outlaw star is like the more relatable version of cowboy bebop, so i always liked it better. i just rewatched the first two episodes

..."starship operators" is another nice obscure space anime from the era. for romantic comedy, you can't go wrong with ranma 1/2. the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya and king gainer were pretty popular in 2008, as well

I watched Frieren: Beyond Journey's End recently, and it's pretty good.

I saw Mieruko-chan recently and that one was really good. It was about a girl who can see ghosts. But they're horrifying and if she reacts to them, they start flipping out.

Cowboy Bebop was pretty good. Might watch the first episode of Outlaw then tonight. Thanks.

I read one volume of the manga of Lucky Star back when I was in bootcamp. It wasn't bad at all. The anime itself just didn't quite seem to translate. Like the difference between Junji Ito's anime vs its manga.

I thought it was pretty good. Though currently only the first season of the has been released. I think the second season is going to be released around January.
