As for movies, a friend of mine picked up Crawlspace with Klaus Kinski for me from London, and I ordered an odd little slasher movie called Girls Nite Out from an Arrow films sale. They make super awesome re-releases of old horror flicks, so I do wanna buy from em sometimes.
I think picking his brain is mostly gonna cause him to exhude puffs of weed smoke... though you might not have to pick at all for that.
YOu are reminding me I should rewatch Red State sometime.

red state is so good! i watched that on wednesday! it goes to show how versatile he is that he can make hilarious comedies, and also make something that scary (also doesn't help that i'm a mile away from a bible school that gives me very similar vibes >.>)

Oh, I love Kevin Smith, don't get me wrong. I've read a few of the comics he's written as well. Anyone who can come up with something like Onomatopeia is cool in my book.
I just enjoy that it's the biggest outlier of his filmography, so it's one I really should give a second look

after watching it, he did an excellent job of the nature of "Red State" on a ton of levels, from the individual to the societal at large; thinking about it, there is so much more to unpack, and i loved it!
this wednesday, i'll probably watch the 3 clerks films, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, and Dogma to round it out!

You know that drawing I've been showing you progress on? Based on those kids books? The writer of those is not our only guest.
