Hey y'all.
It's my day off from work and I remembered I live only 40 miles from San Francisco, and Nintendo recently opened their second official company store in Union Square so ... here I am, getting ready to check it out myself

>>1192664Back home now but I Got more pics!
But first, yeah it's pretty neat, it's 2 floors but still not
too big, like the size of a storefront in a shopping mall. Most of the merch is clothing, fashion accessories, bags or collectibles of some form, there is also some types of things that are only available in one section like stationery for the Zelda section or housewares for the Animal Crossing section, while most of it is exclusive to the store, it seems, they're also selling stuff available in most places like the animal crossing legos and super mario lego sets as well.
Surprisingly, very little floor space is dedicated to the switch hardware or switch games, but they've got a huge selection of empty game boxes on a couple of cd-rack-like displays in the corners of the first and second floor. To buy a game you take the empty game box to the checkout and the cashier fetches a copy from the back room. you take to the checkout counter to purchase a copy (how fucking ...
Nintendo of them amirite?).
Also downstairs is where the big 4K projector screen I showed earlier had Breath of the Wild Switch 2 Edition playable (whoch Inlater had clarified is why there was a big line out the door, that line was for the switch 2 playable demo, which included a corner with 4 kiosks consisting of 4 displays hooked up to 4 Switch 2 consoles playing Mario Kart World. There were even TV anchors there covering it on local news (I haven't checked yet, but there is a chance I might appear in the background on TV). They were making a whole event out of it, complete with an employee you can see in my pic of the line who was playing jazz renditions of Nintendo music from basically every Nintendo franchise (I particularly loved his renditions of Kirby songs) He's the one in the red shirt with a black case on his back, his front was obscured in the shot by a pedestrian.
So yeah, I had a fucking blast. Fangirling shamelessly in nostalgia for the stuff that sparked my imagination about tech in the first place.

No.1192939
>>1192920Both are peer pressure based things, which primarily achieve success based on individuals being outright ordered to commit certain actions by coworkers, friends, family, et cetera.
It's kind of like how the exact same people at the exact same time will tell you:
>You should start smoking cigarettes, in order to have sex with cute people and be in the best parties.>You should starting wearing nice-looking clothes, in order to have sex with cute people and be in the best parties.Coexisting, but then one of these things is so, so, so, so worse in every way compared to the other thing (which maybe isn't even a problem for a regular man or woman at all). It feels weird for them to be lumped together. Yet they are.
Getting tattoos, driving certain vehicles, and getting a lot of body piercings might be other examples too. I suppose. Alongside given creative hairstyles. And owning certain electronic products such as particular cellphones.
Logic says that "owning the latest iPhone -> being happier in life and feeling that you have more of a right to exist" doesn't make sense rationally. And it really doesn't. But that's human psychology for you.
Me being on the autism spectrum probably makes me inherently unable to understand a lot of what might be called 'normie brain chemistry stuff'. If I'm brutally honest. Like why a certain sports car will be referred to with talk like "she looks so sexy", with me shrugging and wondering why one associates such things: like why the average male human talks about an actress from a James Bond film identically to how he talks about a Ford Mustang. Or why the average male human believes that owning crypto makes you more sexually worthwhile. More Bitcoins mean more romantic partners? I guess? Those are the rules?
*shrugs*
