I had a pretty... decent school life. Still I found it mostly a waste of time, especially given only how many years we had being kids.

I always found "Back to school" ads silly, depicting children feeling stylish in their school uniforms and cool with school bags and equipment, when I never met anyone who liked school. We just went because we had to and just wanted to get it over with.

well the switch is one of the most popular consoles ever made; and literally everyone with a computer and internet access has steam for at least one game; so i wouldn't say that's a stretch

Well I'm alright. I FINALLY got my shitty-ass living room windows replaced yesterday and it makes the place so much nicer.

In a few I'll be making a quick round trip to Sweden - SciFiWorld is on today, and Lance Henriksen and Paul Weller are gonna be there, so hoping to get a photo/autograph at least with Lance.

I have only been sort-of-fighting my Landlord for like two years who insisted it was just cause "I don't air out the place enough".

Of course now that they finally were replaced, it turned out both windows were like 50 years old and one had basically no isolation whatsoever and THAT'S why they were downright soaking wet every damn morning in winter, like I fucking said.

Oh well, its' done now, it looks much nicer and it makes me breathe a sigh of relief whenever I look at the wall.

Lance Henriksen is basically one of hte kings of Sci/Fi Horror. He was in a little bit of everything, if mostly known for Aliens or Millenium. As for Weller, well, hes' RoboCop.

I dunno yet! The friend I am staying with have a lot of different ones! Last we all met up we played Betrayal at House on the Hill, Boss Monster, Lords of Waterdeep and Wyrmspan.

I think this time I am going to insist we try Carnival of Monsters, cause I tried that recently in two-player, and while fun, it really needs a few more.

To be clear, my landlord is not really a bad dude. He's nice enough. He's just also an old fart of the "everything I say is automatically right because I survived this long somehow" school of handyman thinking and it's frustrating as fuck. Thankfully, he enlisted my dad to help him with the windows, and my dad takes actual pride in doing handiwork properly.

They're all fun. Gotten way more into board games the last few years. House on Haunted Hill is especially great. All players go in procedurally generated haunted house. The more items they find, the higher the odds that a "Haunt" starts.

Depending items picked up and things experienced in the house, any one of fifty different horror scenarios can then happen, and one player will become the "Traitor" who was actually working with whatever haunts the house the entire time and now has to try and kill the rest of the players. A bonkers game, that one.
