Hu fucked the system and just did a few races until winning a Lancer Evolution. Then did the Speedway endurance race to unlock the good Polyphony.
Before you know it, you'll sweep the entire game, especially if you also purchase the Suzuki Pike's Peak version and upgrade its engine.
Speedway endurance races done in less than 15min

I vaguely recall someone saying there's a way to do it without emulation. Recommended to save before the endurance
Each time you reload the save after completing the endurance race, you don't get the prize money, but you can keep rerolling the prize car by loading the save before the endurance race

I can't remember actually doing this, though

That does sound silly, since you need to do the whole race. And endurance races rewards cars afterwards, regardless of it being the first win or not.

Because hardware emulation had more slowdown in general when I tried that. Even at native res.
I think there was an update, so maybe I'll retry Vulkan.
