Make your choice /pony/
You may only eat one from each row
No.1179280
What's the meal though? Everything from the first row seems like it would fit a different time?
...let's go B1Z
>>1179276It's a question that naturally jumps out here, and the answer
which as a bonus avoids the questions of Empire is "we can't be sure, but probably!" since it appears to be a local invention by immigrant South Asian cooks who lived in Britain. There's a few dishes like that around the world. The most fitting one that comes to mind is karē, which is Japanese and yet just obviously a curry so you could assume it's from India, too.

A, because I haven't had fish n chips in a while, and I really like putting malt vinegar and tartar sauce on them
1- cause I LOVE shephards pie. Close second would be Tikka Masada, but that would make me want to go to an actual Indian restaurant
Y- this was the most difficult choice, cause honestly I could choose any of them. But I guess I just so happen to be in a toffee mood

Hmmm ...
I guess I would go with C cause A is bland and B has both blood pudding and Heinz Baked Beans, both of which seem to be something other than food.
I'd probably go with 3 cause it's more interesting than a bland boring Shepard's Pie or that giant corndog with a fancy sounding name.
As for dessert, I'm American and well acquainted with apple based desserts as a consequence so A isn't too interesting when there are two toffee based desserts there and in America it's hard to find any buttery toffee that isn't in the middle of chocolate and hard as a rock. So I might go with Y there cause I've never had it before and would like to try Z some time later for similar reasons

A3Y
Row 1 is easy. I absolutely love Fish & Chips, perfect simple dish. An Full Breakfast never made sense to me, as it seems like it'd be too much food. My ideal breakfast would be like eggs, toast, and one protein... having multiple proteins (bacon AND sausage AND black pudding) plus beans plus tomatoes plus mushrooms is way too much imo. Also I'm not a big fan of roasts in general, so no Sunday Roast for me.
Row 2 is easy Tikka Masala. I gotta make some of that again soon, it's a real comfort pick to me. I've never had Shepherd's Pie itself, but I feel like it'd be similar to just a Pot Pie or a Pasty? I like them, just not as much as Tikka Masala. And I feel like I would dislike Beef Wellington as I do not like steak much either, like roasts.
Row 3 is a tossup between Apple Crumble and Sticky Toffee Pudding, but I'd probably just give the slight edge to the pudding as toffee is just such a good taste. Apple Crumble is really good, though, too. Never had Banoffee Pie, but I probably wouldn't like it much. I love raw bananas just fine, but for some reason I never liked banana flavor in desserts (banana pudding, banana cream pie, etc)

I'd question the inclusion of Tikka Masala as a British food, but my god is it delicious. I love Indian food in general.
Can I just have that for all three rows?

>>1179341>I'd question the inclusion of Tikka Masala as a British foodMy understanding is that a lot of what we known as "Indian food" came about after the British spice trade introduced peppers, tomatoes and such from South America and other far-off places and was originally produced to feed British colonists.
Oh, and a lot of Chinese and Thai foods are the same.

The argument that Tikka Masala is not part of the UK is the same people would try to say the burger is not American.

>>1179327It depends on if it is ethically-sourced or not. Feeding bees corn syrup instead of letting them eat their own tasty, nutritious honey is very mean, especially when they make so much. Manipulating internal bee politics is also bad.
But if we are nice to bees, then yes, I think so.
