I think it's a commentary on how people are caught in the middle between online appearances and reality. Throughout the video, we see the mane pony impersonating common YouTuber expressions and vaguely (it seemed to me, at least) the meme, Caramelldansen. Its popular appeal means there may be multiple interpretations of these differences. Or, they may be applied to individual circumstances.
