In fact, I expect less altruism in a human society. Some people don't have the privilege of living in a country where the government can give a monthly stipend to the disadvantaged. Corruption is prevalent among many countries, but I firmly believe it is rightly so. If there's a chance to earn your way through life, it's in the 21st century. Whether I like it or not, the fierce competition in a more technologically advanced society is what I should try my best to appreciate. I know I may exude a survival of the fittest mentality, but I believe it is a natural and expected experience.
