Recently I started rewatching this old 2016 two-season cartoon, and it's so freaking good but I don't know anyone else who's seen it. It's really difficult to express just what's so captivating about it because it does so many different things so well.

It's a zany action romp, with impeccable characterization and boatloads of continuity and creative flair. There really isn't any part of the world that doesn't seem inspired. On top of all that, the episodes feel like they're running at 150% speed so it's an honest to goodness challenge to catch all the clever witticisms even when the action is low.

If anyone else has seen this show, lemme know! And if you're looking for a fun cartoon, give it a try!

I suppose if it gets a seal of approval from Dulset of all people, it has to be pretty good.

I have heard of the show before, but never ever seen an episode.

The whole show feels like a crazy balancing act of concepts and execution that by all accounts should fall apart but somehow holds together.

I only saw a little, and the pacing was far too rapid for me. You can only enjoy so many jokes when it rapid fires forty of them at you every three seconds.

But I at keast appreciate its willingness to be zany and irs obvious Slayers influences.

Of course it's one of those shows where you have to compkete seperate it from its creator now, but that has never been a big issue in my case.

I think that's why it never got popular, it requires a lot of focus for a cartoon so you gotta be locked in. That said, the second season really noticeably slowed things down, but I find that to be a shame.

brings back memories of a less facetious and more purely sarcastic era (and all that implies) ....
