I suppose the fact you can't at all move your foot without being in horrible pain, let alone put any weight on it, would have been a dead givaway.
How did you make it to the hospital anyway?
Called ambulance?
Got someone to take you?
Or somehow dragged yourself out of there?
I am personally kind of terrified of ever falling badly / breaking something when I'm home alone and not having any phone nearby to call.
Slipping in the shower can happen so easily.
