The only console I ever got new was the PS5, and the main reason that was possible was because Covid meant I wasn't exactly going places and spending money. Even then I had to wait for the shortage to end. And I planned for that just to, for ONCE, be decently early for a console.

>>1210112Half the reason that I loved DQ builders 1 and 2 was that it basically guided you on what to build. Pokopia basically works the same, you're essentially repairing things more than building things.
Also the game is built on this mechanic of attracting Pokémon to various habitats that are essentially 4 * 4 grids of like, tall grass, or tall grass by a tree or like certain electrical devices or rock formations inside caves and all that, it's got even more structure via quest and premade recipes you can discover for Pokémon habitats, which gives it that addictive Pokémon collecting aspect to it.
