As someone in my 30s I very much miss the early to mid 2000s internet. It just felt so much more real, authentic and alive.
Nowadays it's all been scrubbed clean by governments and corporations. Never forget the old days when the idea of telling anyone your real name or putting a picture of yourself online was viewed as stupid and foolish
Sure the internet was a bit of a wild west then but it had character and it's own culture, now that's all dead and it's become as bland and sterile as everything else

The internet definitely has kind of lost its magic. I remember when many had those Geocity websites.
