The rise of Indian ringnecks in this neighborhood has been incredible this year.
5 years ago I found them to be quasi an urban legend. Like I thought I saw one maybe once and I knew the stories of them, but seeing them up close never really seemed to happen.
This year I hear their noise almost everywhere, evn through the coldest periods in the winter months. And I can see them land in a tree along the street and I can walk up to them and they don't give a flying feather.
This year in particular, they're as common an occurence as magpies, jackdaws or pigeons.
