Homestuck media approach appears to have me described as somebody who's been living in and is currently in a lot of anxiety, depression, and uncertainty looking to fundamentally rock if not destroy the mental and physical sort of system that's around me. And yet the motivation and broad goal is to basically remake everything centered around the pursuit of knowledge and harmony. So, I'm sort of like somebody standing on a pile of smashed LEGO creatures and wrecked LEGO buildings going "This sucks! I'm going to make this ugly pile of whatever into something both NEW and COOL!"... I suppose. Cynicism and anger as the basis for extreme focus. I guess. Maybe.

Homestuck, truly, but I do totally think I get why I'm given this broad label and why it does indeed honestly fit.
The label can reflect a philosophy of wanting to make yourself and the world around you, I suppose, basically as ethical, as empathetic, and as logically rational as possible. Yet your determination is fueled by being in and/or coming from a particularly dank, dark, and grimy place emotionally (and also, in the case of
Homestuck, literally since if I remember right the media involves a lot of space travel related to a lot of dank, dark, and grimy places). That's what I get out of the "Sagipia" description. Which is neat.

Yeah I'm a Homestuck kin person everyone point and laugh.
But for real, really disappointed in how this comic went and how things have played out since the original end. Though I hear the current stuff is better than what they were doing before. I'm pretty much just done with the whole thing these days.
I really like it all the way up to (S) Game Over, though.
I did the sign thing a long time ago and I'm honestly not going to do it again. My zodiac Sun sign is Gemini but my Moon is Scorpio, I prefer Scorpio heavily. The Serket sign. Given I am kin with Aranea, it does make sense. However, despite both those things, my trollsona is a purple blood, though I have plenty of fantrolls of other colors.
My classpect is Lord of Rage, alternatively Maid of Rage since that was before Lord and Muse were a thing. My trollsona, being me as a troll, is also Lord of Rage, but her descendant is a Maid of Rage.
Anyways, when 4/13 rolls around I always try to focus on the good stuff, the stuff I liked about Homestuck when I was into it, rather than the stuff I don't like with where they've gone with it. Maybe if I was the same age as when I first read Homestuck I would like it, but it really just feels like I've grown out of Homestuck and Homestuck has continued to be basically the same as it always was.

>>1166387Well, in Homestuck's case, the fandom and the people writing Homestuck 2 were a lot closer than the fandom is usually to the people making the content, and any amount of harassment is more than enough to understand why people wouldn't want to work on it. But indeed, I think most of the issue was in the logistic and corporate side of things than just problems with the fans. Thanks to the hiatus, though, the people who cared super strongly about HS2 calmed down over time. I think they probably should have waited a couple years before going into HS2 in the first place, maybe they would have avoided some of the trouble. Then again, maybe not. Maybe the trouble was an unfortunate necessity. Get everyone's mania out of the way, go on hiatus for a couple years, then come back. People get out all their feelings and end up just happy to see Homestuck back again. Plus perhaps the more outrageous fans fell off into different fandoms that have less interaction with the creators so they can't cause as many problems.
Who knows! At least things seem to be going well now, which I'm glad for even if I would rather they just stopped for good and moved on to something else. I, for one, look forward to whatever Hussie decides to do next, since he's not really an active part of HS2.
