i've recently been introduced to Delicious in Dungeon, which is the latest anime by Trigger, and is a fun show about a group of adventurers trying to save one of their party members from being digested, and all the while, they learn to sustain themselves by cooking monsters and plants they find in the dungeon!

it takes the DnD archetype, and add a level of realism to it, especially in the cooking! like you watch the episodes and want to learn how to make the food they make too!

i think Dawn would adore the show tbh :3

Second this. It's also one of the best manga's you will ever read, just recently finished.

Building off Dungeon Meshi, I highly recommend Sousou no Frieren/Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. It's about an elf who was the mage in the Hero's party that defeated the great Demon King after a 10 year journey. It starts off decades later when the rest of her group are all old but she is the same. They experience one last journey together to witness a spectacle, some time after which the hero, Himmel, dies. Frieren then begins another journey with the adopted children of the other two party members to try and make it to the afterlife to see Himmel one last time, while learning how to appreciate the time she has with people of shorter lived races.

It's an extremely sweet and very well written manga and the anime adaptation of it is insanely well done.

i've heard great things about frieren! i watch In My Mother's Basement, who is an anime reviewer that i really appreciate, and he says it's the most Tolkien thing this side of the pacific.

i'll put it on my list! right now i have enough room for Delicious in Dungeon and Pyscho Pass, but once i get through one, i'll pick up Frieren!

It is such a good manga, I honestly cannot praise it enough, I don't even know how to explain how good it is, it really is something that needs to be experienced. Personally it always brings me a lot of joy to read it, but it also makes me really sad.

Bittersweet is probably the best way to describe it overall.

Also if you like JRPGs and don't mind gacha games, I would be remiss not to recommend Honkai Star Rail, especially if you are a fan of the way miHoYo does their other games. absolutely love the storylines, the characters, and the fact that I can have a lot of fun with it without feeling like I need to spend money on it.
