If we're talking general weather, I'll take cold over hot.

You can always add more layers to warm up.

But there's a limit to how many clothes you can take off to cool down.

How freezing? How hot?

"Burning hot" might be like 30*C. That's fine, you can grow crops then and function in t-shirts and shorts. 50*C+, not so much. Freezing is probably preferable then, with the caveat that "freezing" means well below 0*C, so the crops are boned by default (outside of specialty built greenhouses) while people might not be and might just wear something warm. No such thing as "wearing something cool" in an outside-oven.

Cold. In my experience, it's easier to warm up than it is to cool down.
Tired of messing with the A/C, just let me stack a bit of more clothes on. Also, being a bit goth makes it more ideal for me to be in cold weather.

There's a lot of ecological problems with both of those ideas as the Anon with the anarchy symbol in his name said but the wrinkles in my brain have been sandpapered out by over half a decade of varied trauma so I'm not going to think about it.

Ah. Yeah, in that case I can see why you're sick of the cold. English weather is miserable but I don't think it's gone below -9 Celsius (like 16 Fahrenheit) in my lifetime.

Also collapsing the environment for personal gain is based. Just as long as it's actual tangible personal gain and not like, making an incomprehensibly high number go up slightly more.
