I'm hyped, I loved Kalos.
That said, I always thought the legends of Unova were woefully unexplored, it's part of the reason I didn't like Gen 5 very much. But I honestly kinda would have preferred a Legends Unova for that exact reason.

When I was like 8 I got Pokémon Diamond for like Christmas or something. I adored that game.
Then when I was like 11 HeartGold and SoulSilver came out. I somehow acquired both, and I still have both with the Pokéwalkers that are apparently hard to find nowadays.
IMO HeartGold and SoulSilver were peak Pokémon. Two regions! Pokémon following you in the overworld! A really cool guitar-heavy soundfont! Expansion on the plot of the original games! An honest-to-god Safari Zone! Gen 2 again but with the Physical/Special split! I adored them. They were everything I wanted.
Then they brought Black and White out. And like a fucking dumbass I played Black.
And in Black Pokémon don't follow you. There's one region and it's mostly urban and boring. People like the plot but it didn't do anything for me. You get cucked out of fighting the champion and have to do a semi-scripted battle using legendaries instead. I thought the graphics were ugly. I didn't like most of the new Pokémon and they force you to use them for most of the game. The music was largely unmemorable. The gym leaders and Elite Four were unmemorable as characters.
It sucked. I hated it.
So I get a sense of smug satisfaction out of Legends, if not necessarily the franchise, skipping straight over Unova to Kalos. Because I feel nothing but spite towards Gen 5.

I will say that the Pokémon World Tournament sounds like one of the best ideas they've ever implemented though. I'm hoping it'll come back someday.
