But grandmother's condition became very poor, very suddenly... so i am now back in Taiwam to attend funeral

I went to a business that serves brownies to eat in a way that has them decorated nicely, and it reminded me of this thread. The snack looked so splendid. I love cafes that do those things.

This is where my grandfather and grandmother are interred. It is an air force burial ground. The building is where ww2 vets, in particular, and their spouses, are interred.

Do not worry about pollution: pingxi is the only place on Taiwan where these lanterns are allowed, and special clean up teams track the lanterns by the direction of wind to pick them up.

If any are missed, an offered bounty means most are then picked up. The vendors keep track of each lantern sold so they always know how many are missing.
