I am quite eager to see Biden policies on my meme country.

Does he like coups or is rather a calm guy?

Sometimes there is a fine line between coup and non-coup.  I heard that Nancy Pelosi called the Joints Chiefs of Staff to remind them that only Congress has the Constitutional authority to declare war and in particular that Trump lacks the authority to unilaterally launch a nuclear attack on another country.  If Trump were to insist on ordering such an attack even after being reminded of his lack of authority, perhaps it wouldn't be a coup for the military to arrest Trump.

I wouldn't get too attached. I don't expect him to make it to March.

Eh, a randomly selected man of Biden's age (78 years) has an expected remaining lifespan of 9.37 years [1].  Biden is healthier than the average 78-year-old man.  I think it is likely that Biden will survive to end of his 4-year term at least; some other people did an analysis of this and gave it a 95% chance [2].

I'm not talking about heart attacks.

Well, what are you talking about?  Some people were saying that Biden is mentally foggy, but he seemed quite sharp at the debates and at the last speech he gave.

It's certainly going to be interesting.  Especially if the dems control all three branches.  If the dems manage to unite on things, or get even slight republican support, they could pass all sorts of stuff.

My gut read of what was said was it's either an expression of the "Trump won the election and that will be acknowledged" delusion or an insinuation that Biden will be assassinated. I acknowledge that in the current climate I'm biased towards seeing such statements colored up in that manner, so it's possible I'm wrong.

I meant to imply an assassination attempt, yes. A week ago I would have called such an insinuation delusional, but people seem to have very strong feelings and institutional security is not as good as I thought.

Hmm, maybe it would be for the best if Biden avoids public appearances for a few months.  I've heard that his inauguration might be mostly virtual because of COVID-19 anyhow.

So, he peaceful guy?

That people needed death and insurrection to see Trumpies as 30's-esque early Reiche just proves ive been right about education and complacency for 50 years.

Itll be fun to see if we're past the tipping point.  197 House Republicans today still voted Fourth Reiche.
