my first observation is i am shocked at how old and curmudgeonly both of our candidates sound
...this debate moderator, i feel so bad for, but to his credit, he is doing a very good job.
...can we vote for him? i don't care if he's a republican or democrat, at this point.
this is so depressing. i am so sad.

i said this in a tweet, but i think the next debate should be on Zoom, and that way the moderator can just mute whoever he needs so they can actually listen to people talk :PP

but - i am much... well, i have to be a lawyer, so i am much tougher there, and have to be cooler than i usually am
i joke to my paralegals sometimes that i should take up a nice relaxing hobby, like smoking
(but i would never, of course)

i am curious to see you in your legal work mode. i'm so used to you on here, and it's hard to imagine you being tough and cool in those situations.
but at the same time, i've seen you deal with a lot of crazy stuff! so i definitely believe you can!

my paralegals know me as being about as smushy as i am here, though a little more parental
i am always making sure they have snacks and stuff
but my clients think i am very charismatic. i put on my lawyer voice for them. and i am not scared of immigration officers or judges, even a little.
i am scared though, of failure. :c
but this is unrelated!!
debate so bad!

aww that's kinda sweet, although i wonder how many of them expected a sweet gentle boss when becoming a lawyer? still, they must feel like they struck gold ^^
you have the voice for it! i've heard you sing! like you could be a VA for a Phoenix Right game if you wanted to
oh moony, you might feel fear, but you try anyways, and that's the definition of courageous <3

This debate was gigantic clusterfuck. Trump needs to learn how to shut up and stop interrupting. I'm still undecided, but this debate has pushed me towards Biden just to vote more heavily against Trump.
>>6874>...this debate moderator, i feel so bad for, but to his credit, he is doing a very good job. >>...can we vote for him? i don't care if he's a republican or democrat, at this point. Agreed.
>>6878>i said this in a tweet, but i think the next debate should be on Zoom, and that way the moderator can just mute whoever he needs so they can actually listen to people talk :PPYes! The moderator should have a "mute" button for when the unruly toddler(s) can't manage to keep their pieholes shut.

>>6878At least going by what I saw, it seemed like Biden interrupted just as much.
I do wish Biden'd just go on Joe Rogan, though. I think the debate'd be far more even and far more interesting.

I didn't bother waking up for it. I have browsed clips though. I'm mostly just disappointed? These are our two main options come November, fucking Christ.
Fuck the parties, fuck ideologies, where is the candidate whose platform is running a functional government? I want that one.

>>6890I'm more concerned about Biden, personally.
Though it's worth noting, the Proud Boys are not "white nationalists", and no 'White nationalist' violence as far as I am aware took place in Kenosha.
Dunno what Wallace was smoking in regards to that. Maybe he had bough in to the insane narrative that Kyle Rittenhouse was a white supremacist terrorist out murdering innocent protesters, despite clear evidence to the contrary.
Hopefully the next debate gets someone who's less interested in debating trump, more interested in actually moderating, though.

I've never really watched debates. I was working this time and I wasn't confident that it would be interesting so I didn't go out of my way to listen.
But... apparently things within the family got quite unpleasant. I'm going to hold on to my personal convictions of course, but I'm probably going to start ignoring that outside of it's very specific context.

>>6873>the pres. debateOK, I'll watch it. I've never heard Biden talk before. He sounds pretty normal. You can imagine him getting into parts that he practiced in front of the mirror, writing facts on notecards to remember.
Trump just seemed to be winging it (although of course it's hard to know). There's a kind of confidence in that. He doesn't seem to care much for the structure imposed by the moderator. Perhaps next time they should just let the men talk at eachother freely for 90 minutes, which would quickly become shouting.
I can talk about the substance, but there are many topics. My sentiments are seldom in agreement with President Trump, but I can try to remain respectful.
