Are there any major "fandoms" besides things related to MLP that you want to talk about because something profound has happened lately? Examples being The Steven Universe fandom, the Pokemon fandom, the Digimon[/i] fandom, the Adventure Time fandom, the Doctor Who fandom, and so on?

Also, as a bonus question, maybe, what do you think about the recent controversy surrounding "Do different Pokemon actually murder humans a lot?"?

We should talk about books.

>Do different Pokemon actually murder humans a lot?
In the games? No.
In the manga? Yea

War Thunder is starting to get really upset because I'm pretty sure some governments are giving them more attention than they want.

Well maybe someone should do another seminar for the E4 mafia to not abuse the fact the colonel uses password1 for everything.

If that were the case the government wouldn't have trillions of dollars of missing money unaccounted for over the years.

Yeah, the Poke-mangas get really hardcore, or so I've read about them. I've only checked them out personally a little bit.

I still remember reading the Poke-manga when I was a little kid and how apparently Ash only got a Pikachu because they were infesting his hometown, including crawling in the walls to consume electronic equipment such as wiring set-ups.

Interesting. Also, I guess, Ash and Misty really were hot from each other from the beginning. As in that they seriously should've started dating ASAP.

A few pokemon games start with the premise that you can't even go outside your own town if you don't have your own Pokemon, because there's a risk of being mauled by wild pokemon.

Professor Birch was getting chased by a level 2 Poochyena. Scared for his life.
Professor Rowan scolds the player for being outside and going through the tall grass without a Pokemon. Your rival basically convinces you to go outside the village and it will be fine, because if you dash through the grass very quickly, nothing will happen.

So Pokemon games aren't really dark, but wild pokemon are still kind of scary I suppose.

Oh and I think regularly a bunch of youtubers get caught in some major controversy that shakes their fandom.
For this year, the most noticeable were Illuminaughtii and Linus Tech tips apparently.

I wouldn't subscribe to th theory that Pokemon are dangerous through their pokedex entries, though.

These get so crazy that the earth would have been destroyed pure because of the pokemon's terrible abilities.

Pokemon's world is absolutely bonkers crazy and definitely very dangerous.  There is no question that pokemon can and have murdered humans, but it's a kids game so they don't show that part.

One would naturally assume the Magneton is stuck together by magnetism, but the weight suggests it is likely the strong nuclear force, with magnemite similar to quarks and a binding energy several times their rest mass. This makes some sense as they are impossible to separate once joined.

I don't engage that much with the actual FanDOMS as much as just with the media online, since fandom seems to have devolved to people just spending hours every single day trying to scream eachother into submission in an attempt to make everyone like things the "right" way.

I guess the most fandom-y thing I am currently doing is that I just marathoned the Fionna and Cake episodes that have been released so far. Might as well when I am home with a cold.

It's real good. It's nice to see Adventure Time not have to pretend to be for the smallest kids anymore and cut loose a bit - plus it is often genuinely interesting to see a bit of "Okay, but what THEN!?" after a grand finale.

Of course, Distant Lands had some of that, but this is very interesting. And I love Simon being a main character in it.
