Let's talk about games.
Video games, Role playing games, stuff like that.
I've been running an RP forum for almost 9 years. It's kind of astounding how far we've come and how the fandom it's based in has changed in that time. It's gotten much more progressive and accepting, mostly by recognizing the books have aged poorly and fans can do better.
I've also been super into Hollow Knight. It's such a perfect game, even if I had a lot of trouble with it at first. It took a while to really get into the groove but once I got there, I was just immersed in the world, the art style, the music, the story, all of it.

Ooh Hollow Knight is fantastic. It has so many delicious little morsels tucked away that you can nibble on while you digest the greater affairs, and it all fits together so perfectly.
Just thinking about it makes me so very hungry for even more...

I've been talked into playing WoW again by some friends, and I'm actually having a fair amount of fun with it.
I've got a semi-weekly Pathfinder 2 campaign on Mondays where I am playing Nyx, a small kobold who aspires to be a dragon queen. On Thursdays we just had a session zero for the Power Rangers RPG, something I've been looking forward to since it came out back in February or so.
Also I've been playing a fair amount of Warhammer 40k lately, a brand new Chaos Space Marines codex came out in July that's been a whole lot of fun stuff.

I've been playing Escape From Tarkov, mostly, or I've been playing through my Nuzlockes.
I finally beat Red in Soul Silver after grinding up my Kanto and Sinnoh "Immortals" and finally moved on to Black. After the crazy grind, it's nice to play through a fresh Pokemon game, I haven't played the original Black since it first came out and I've enjoyed the selection of Pokemon in it more now than I did.

Hollow Knight is fully amazing, i've clocked over 200 hours on it. Beating the Pantheon of Hallownest is one of the worst things i've ever done to myself in my entire life. I even thought about learning to speedrun it but so far I haven't bothered, seems a daunting task.
Been playing Tales of Berseria on and off but I am really bad at sitting down and focusing for hours sometimes. It's pretty good tho. At the moment i'm waiting to buy the remakes of Klonoa they just put out, but the shit's expensive.

>>1122922I unfortunately don't care too much about mainline Pokemon games these days. The last one I played was Moon, and it was so underwhelming. I loved Legends Arceus though, I would love more games like that.
>>1122924Neat! I find myself dipping into Pokemon Showdown when I feel the itch. Mostly waiting for Palworld to come out.
>>1122925The Yakoozie games are FANTASTIC. They're really just great, solid games that are the perfect mix of goofy and serious. I like Majima a lot, and Ichiban in Like A Dragon is super good.
>>1122930I'm very bad at the Pantheons but I'm trying my best. It's so satisfying though, the combat and exploration just feels so good.

>>1122907>>1122905Bought and played the entire Uncharted series around 2017 and played them in 2018 myself.
I think they're decent games.
I wanted to rekindle my time with Tomb Raider Legends- with the whole explore old temples and solve puzzles while climbing and doing death defying stunts.
To be fair, I think uncharted has a bit too much shooting action going on, felt kind of like those arcade style rail shooters with climbing elements attached.
Still, pretty cool games.
Oh, I got myself a lot of tomb Raider Games at the Steam sale. they were like 1 euro each, so come on.
I finished Tomb raider Anniversary last month. decently fun title and tied up the time I spent at my neighbour watching him play Tomb Raider the original game.
There was a frustratingly hard part in it, though. But yeah, it's exactly the type of game I was looking forward to in Uncharted.
I did start Tomb Raider 2 and Tomb Raider 3 and I'll be honest, those have a downside for my desire of a more modern experience. Plus they look pretty buggy in the Steam versions.

As for my current activities...
Well, I spent last week going back to Realm of the Mad God on Steam.
It's free it's kind of like an MMORPG with Bullet hell + roguelike elements.
Shame I play it on my own.
Took it up in my Ponychan days. Then left it dormant for a long while.
Now I went back and unlocked all the character classes. I don't think I can solo any of the real challenges, though. As those bosses can kill you quick and I barely get a scratch at them with my current character capabilities.
It's probably a lot of grinding or spending actual cash on my game before I can really take on the actual challenges.
Oh and I got my daughter Just Shapes and Beats in June and she did it a lot better than I feared for.
Eventually it's an aesthetically pleasing game on visuals and on OST.
It may be something I will be partaking in from now on as well.
At least, thanks to her, now a few of the songs are stuck in my head as well.

>>1122933I'm well past ready to play the thing and I'm tired of the delays but hopefully they mean the game will be one of those When It's Done™ things with proper shine and polish.
Oh yeah there's two more games I've recently put on top of my backlog, since I'm going to have some free time. Disco Elysium and Rain World. The former in particular seems like it would really benefit from the ability to give it some proper attention, but the latter is sorta intriguing and it seems to be making some of those "Indie Games You Should Play" lists lately. And since I happen to have it anyway because Humble Bundle, I guess slugcatting around a desolate and ruined yet eerily pretty if deadly open world is in the cards for me in the nearby future.

I've been playing the Frost mod of Fallout 4 the last couple days. Pretty fun.
Also played the Stardew Valley Extended mod for a bit a week ago. Also a good mod. It adds SO much to the game, it's really awesome.
Rune Factory 5 came out and I played a bit of it, it's SO good. Best Rune Factory game yet, in my opinion. Lots of great quality of life improvements.
Also started playing a game called Blue Reflection. It's a magical girl RPG. It's set in an all girls school and the basic premise is that the magical girls go into the collection subconscious of humanity to fight off demons that attack people when they are experiencing emotions strongly, which makes them vulnerable to attack.
I also tried out Digimon Survive for a bit. It's an interesting game, but because it's so heavy on the Visual Novel aspect of things it's difficult for me to get very involved in it for long periods of time without getting tired of it.
Speaking of visual novels, I also started AI: The Somnium Files and as far as VNs go it's a LOT more interesting than others I've played so far. I've only played like an hour or so of it, but it's been really good so far.
aaaand I think that's everything game related I've been up to for the past couple weeks.

>>1122933Showdown honestly seems like the way to play multiplayer Pokemon these days. I really wish they'd bring back Mega Evolutions to the main games, even if locked in the post-game like they were in Sun and Moon. Palworld seems interesting but I'm not sure if I'd get it. I've so moved into tabletop games that's where I like to spend most of my game money.
As for my current playthrough in Black, it's been pretty brutal. I've gotten five badges so far, and five casualties. In all my other Nuzlockes I've been able to avoid them but no. It makes my naming theme... appropriate.
So far, Jill the Woobat, Corkus the Patrat, Pippin the Herdier, Rosine the Whirlipede, and Azan the Krokarok have died on the path to immortality.
Guts the Dewott, Rickert the Gurdurr, Casca the Zebstrika, Morda the Zoroark, and Isidro the Darmanitan now have to push on with the memory of the friends they couldn't save on their conscience.
