Slept in kinda late, so not much of anything right now. Just kinda lazing around and watching stuff.
Might test out XEMU some more, seems like their compatibility list is in need of an update.

It's an original Xbox emulator. Has made some great progress in the last few years!
Hey, at least it's something! What are you working on with this latest video?

Oh cool. I don't think I have ever fucked around with 3D console emulators. I never could get that one PSX one I tried to work, but tha twas yeeeeaaars ago.

Or, well, I might have played a game or two on Dolphin back in the day.

The one I am working on right now is Super Inframan, a weird chinese ripoff of stuff like Ultraman from the 70s. After that we move into October, and I am covering the cartoon series Mummies Alive!

HOPEFULLY I will also be able to do a game review as I have done every October the last few years, but it is starting to look a bit unlikely. We'll see.

I'm still ill... to the point of throwing up this morning... so, well, nothing that fun is going on in my life... damn it...

*boops your nose*

Fine. New arrival today, a bit surprising. i gotta look into who is actually properly signed up. But the kid sare trying.

So far they are all drawing anime headshots by following YouTube videos, and I am wrestling a bit with telling them while that's fine, I want them to start actually sketching characters from scracth, themselves, with PICTURE references, rather than follow a video stroke by stroke. But for now this is fine, as they are just getting used to holding a tablet pen at all.

File: 1631825718097.png (128.38 KB, 346x732, 173:366, c482deb2bd35125526536f4aae….png) ImgOps Google

PlayStation emulation is in a very good state nowadays, most games are seemingly perfect. At least, depending on the emulator you use.
Dolphin is quite good too, and PCSX2 isn't a slouch, though still far from perfect. Even Xbox 360 and PS3 emulation is becoming fairly viable nowadays.
Hmmmm, that sounds pretty interesting, if strange! Haha, Mummies Alive, I remember that!
Any idea what game you'd wanna review?
*is booped*
Hi hi!

Well I mean it doens't help that I tend to enjoy actually having a controller in my hand and (usually) don't mind seeking out physical copies and paying them. Within limits of course. There are some insane prices out there.

For game? Well yeah. Ghost Hunter, for PS2. I have recorded about an hour and a half of gameplay already, but I'd need to sit down and do a looong session soonsih if I wanna release a video by the end of October.

I was pretty into real hardware for a while, but outside of classic computers, I'm just not so into that scene anymore. Most of the time I'd rather play something at the computer, even if it is emulation. Does help to have some different controllers though. I use a DS3 for PCSX2 and RPCS3, a Retro-Bit Saturn pad for Genesis and, well, Saturn, and an Xbox One controller for pretty much everything else. Thinking about getting a two in one adapter from Raphnet for N64 and Gamecube, though.
Seems like an interesting game! Looks pretty nice.

I keep meaning to go back to painting as well as digital drawing... but I keep putting it off... being hospitalized and recovering from that killed a lot of emotional energy... so has recently having this respiratory thing... huh...

Uploading images isn't working yet again? Really? Seriously?

I could certainly use a controller for the times I do play something on Steam tha trecommends one.

It is decent. Its main crime is being a bit repetitive from what I can tell so far, in that running and shooting ghosts is basically all you really do. And each area is looooooooooong, so it gets a bit samey.

But nice graphics, cool enough weapons, Rob Paulsen playing the snarky-ass lead... there's some fun to be had.

Sorry to hear man. But it's important to watch your heatlh. Get that covered first.

File: 1631826763335.jpg (103.03 KB, 540x1220, 27:61, dba.jpg) ImgOps Exif Google

The Xbox One or Series controller is a great all-rounder. Only thing you're really missing is pressure sensitive buttons, which you'd really only need for a PS2 or PS3 emulator anyway, and not too many games made real use of those either.
Ahhhh, well, nothing wrong with being samey if the core gameplay is a lot of fun. Sounds like more like it's average, though.

it kinda is.

It's just sort of become a "thing" I do to cover a semi-obscure horror game in October for me, and this is one I remember playing as a kid, so I figured I'd dig it back up.

*hugs the cute maid*

File: 1631827059478.png (191.56 KB, 586x876, 293:438, b7c43e3b8e01a00414c72354f2….png) ImgOps Google

Hehehe, well, it makes sense to do that, at least. Illbleed would be a fun one to do, I think.
*hugs the foxxy*
How is?

Perhaps, but I do not, nor have I ever owned a Dreamcast and I am not buying one just for one game. We'll see what I think of some other time.

I may be MUCH more busy than I am used to in October, so I don't even know if I can get it doen at all.

Haven't been doing so well for around two weeks lately... to be honest... craving social interaction, ideally in the sense of hugs and hand-holding, pretty badly...

File: 1631827802222.png (524.59 KB, 1200x1500, 4:5, aaaac321d188803f60848dc69a….png) ImgOps Google

Is a great console, but I can understand that, especially since it's gotten so much attention in the last 10 years or so. If I had to buy one today I probably wouldn't bother either.
Ahhhh, sounds like a pain, perhaps.
Aww, I'm sorry to hear that :c
Mhmm, it sucks when you don't have that sense of touch, like hugs and such...

I don't doubt it, but I would have to like, found one being sold with a bundle of pretty good games to bother. Plus I'd need yet another cable for the upscaler I recently bought, but that's not that big a deal.

Well, again, not like I actually get any views, so myeh, who truly cares.

File: 1631828099852.jpg (110.8 KB, 399x1200, 133:400, 9234e9dd453e9ce5224ec8d8b8….jpg) ImgOps Exif Google

Maybe you'll see one for a good deal at some point!
Still good to work on those things, even if it's for yourself. I feel so, anyway.

Not hardly. No such thing as a decent flea market anywhere near me, and I am pretty sure hte Dreamcast was NEVER big here to begin with.

It has kept me sane. Just deliciously demoralizing to see views just go down and down and down as YouTube continue sto go out of their way to make shit difficult for anyone who didn't already have a million subs in 2012.

File: 1631828365100.png (274.7 KB, 351x532, 351:532, 16101954404244.png) ImgOps Google

The Dreamcast was hardly big even here. Made a splash and then quickly died off.
Yeaaah, that YouTube algorithm does seem to become more and more of a pain.

It does, and I assure you it's entirely on purpose.

It just gets tiring to work harder, get better, make what you think is better content and get less engagement out of it over time. It ends up basically telling me I must just not be worth it when others with far less effort randomly do far better.

File: 1631829006937.png (196.11 KB, 616x884, 154:221, 2cd.png) ImgOps Google

I can see that being a major downer. Especially when some 5 second clip of something random suddenly gets like a million views.
Hehe, is cute!

I'm talking more about stuff people actually made. Sat down and write. Did things with. Some brief funny thing going viral isn't the problem. It's seemingly constantly being punished for trying with no actual tangible reasons why that just leaves you with no conclusions to go to other than "Guess I am just garbage at what I try to do then".

What will happen at the film festivals?

I'll watch a buttload of new, small horror films that we normall wouldn't get in theaters. And attend the Collector's Market to hopefully pick up a few movies or some merch.

It is of course a bit downscaled compared to earlier years with no cool cult film personality guests, but I'm just glad it's back at all.

Do you also get into science fiction films and other genres?

I watch a bit of everything. I own a few more artsy films, too. This is just baically the one genre-themed film festival we have, and I've gone to it every year it's been running.

I also usually go to the VOID Adult Animation festival in winter, but again, didn't exactly happen this year for reasons.

That's an excellent tune!

Hmm, kinda reminds me of Iron Maiden, I think? Was never that big on metal and such.
Was listening to a bit of Dire Straits: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9i7E4DroMPk
What kind of stuff do you normally listen to?

Iron Maiden has been massively influential in terms of hard rock and heavy metal music, and that group is no exception. As far as favorites go, well, I listen to quite a lot of things. Hard to summarize.

I'd probably say, though, that my favorite material is in the vein of arena rock, new wave, pop rock, and power pop music. Releases that're softer sounding that what I just linked.

Here's a great example of what hits a certain "sweet spot" for me:

I actually woke up feeling pretty healthy today, so I managed to get up, get dressed, go to the library, go to a store, check my mail, take out the trash, go to someplace to eat something, and go to another store. I feel human again. After more than two weeks of severe illness, I really hope that this lasts.

What have you been streaming?

Eiiii lookit you, good jorb!

Breath of Fire IV. Almost done with it, and I need it done so I can start streaming spookygames the last week of September. I pretty much just have the final dungeon left, so that's gonna be fun this monday.

What're your favorite horror games?

Hard to say. I play a lot of short indie titles, and there are some of the Triple-A ones I have not played in a long, long time, and of all sorts of subgenres and styles. So there's a LOT to pick from.

I do think the Resident Evil 2 Remake was one of the best I have played in years, and I recently replayed both stories in it just for kicks. Other obvious choices like Silent Hill 2 are, of course, up there. Eternal Darkness has a special place in my mind. And if "horror-themed, but not actually scary" counts, I think the Luigis Mansion series is wonderful.

But if we start talking about smaller titles, then there's no end to a bunch of really cool ones I could mention, with a recent favorite being Mists of Aiden. And of course, Fatal Frame also has a special spot, for being one of the first I played that were about ghost and not combat-oriented, and for special memories I have of the circumstances I played it in.

But yeah, that's easier to answer if you peg down a style first.

Sleeping is really nice, I just have trouble keeping a normal sleep schedule, I suppose.

That too.

And it tends to take me a very long time to actually fall asleep, so the process of GOING to sleep is not very pleasant to me.

File: 1631927705993.png (80.09 KB, 494x533, 38:41, 17b294f1c80c2903998aa37c53….png) ImgOps Google

Mhmm, I can understand that. Sometimes I can be sitting there for hours, though usually I do fall asleep pretty quickly once I finally decide to go to bed.

I tend to get an influx of thoughts, or become overly-aware of each and every tiny miscomfort, itch, tickling hair or whatever once I lie down. It's not fun

Overthinking is a pain for sure. I suppose it really does help to try to unwind for an hour or so before going to bed.

I tried. It doesn't help. The moment things go silent and I am trying to pass out, everything floods in.

Ideally you'd try to go silent before trying to sleep. Reading for an hour or something like that.

Hi hi! How are you?

Again. I did. Many times. it doesn't work.

It's not always easy. Making yourself comfortable is an important step to it though, which if you can't do, I guess it's not going to work out so well.

Mmm-hmm. Just another in the long list of things I am barely functional at.

Well, time to go pretend I know how this shit works. Bed here I come.

Nai nai Esh, I hope it comes easily to you tonight.
I post as several different Nandroids, though it's mostly Emmy! She's very sweet, though the comic is finally making its sad turn.

So want to cuddle!

For me, huh, well I was doing pretty positively before, but now after a few hours at home online, exposure to meanies being meanies (not here, of course) have brought me down a tad... how're you feeling, right now?

Cuddle cuddle cuddle!
Aww, I'm sorry to hear that. Being mean to you, or just witnessing it?
I'm doing well I suppose, if a little bored. Having trouble figuring out how I want to spend my time.

>Being mean to you, or just witnessing it?

Both, alas!

>Having trouble figuring out how I want to spend my time.

Watch stuff about cats online!

You going to play the new Toby Fox release at some point?

Link: https://www.engadget.com/deltarune-chapter-2-september-17th-054000126.html

Will be a great way to spend some time!

I'm planning on later tonight (or maybe sometime Saturday) replaying the original 'Undertale' and 'Delatrune' first to refresh myself, though!

File: 1631934254030.png (516.45 KB, 525x672, 25:32, 3a13d19945ce0da5b6b04d461b….png) ImgOps Google

I actually haven't even played Undertale myself yet. I've had it for quite a while now, but just never got around to it!
Have quite a few games I've been trying to get through, but I either get distracted with something else or just burn out on them, or sometimes get overwhelmed with all the side content, in the case of RDR2.

Both "Undertale" and "Deltarune" are magnificent! I hope that you'll check them out soon! <3

If you want to talk more music, there's a nice, smooth love song that I've come across that I'd like to share:

File: 1631935602394.jpg (121.8 KB, 1200x1800, 2:3, EusOUWhXAAktjEx.jpg) ImgOps Exif Google

I know I will at some point, it's just rough to go through everything in my list!
I don't really recall where this played in the movie, was it during the credits? Recently listened to this, I need to check out more SWING HOLIC stuff! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qz6tq5_cjPg

I've so much free time, but I spend so little watching the films that I feel like I should watch, reading the books that I feel like I should read, and reviewing the TV shows that I feel like I should review... like... oh, my goodness...

On the plus side, I go through a ton of music! And it feels great! <3

Oh my, yeah, I feel much the same way. So much free time, yet I spend it idly browsing the internet or listening to music!
Have a few systems that I've been meaning to put more work into, but I never find the motivation to get back to them. The idea was to capture footage from them, or even use them to stream some games!

Hmmm, hard to say really! Thinking the OG Xbox version of Splinter Cell: Double Agent... but also I'd much rather emulate it instead of playing on the console, just has way too many graphical glitches to be playable.
It's silly, but I did actually just do another Halo CE Legendary run with a friend. When it comes to those games though, I know them like the back of my hand, so it's just a calming thing to do with friends!

It's unfortunate how easy that can happen. Is this in a Discord chat or something?

Telegram. Not sure what to say. Furries are furries, I guess. Things happen.

On the plus side, I'd still say that I'm genuinely still in a good-ish mood. Especially with music.

Listening now to:

Hey, this is a pretty nice song!

I've got an XBox One, but I hardly use it. Have to connect it to the internet on my smartphone. I've like three games left. Not sure what to say.

I might restart 'Stardew Valley' soon. It's really fun. Been a while.

So, weekend plans for you?

Jazzy Touhou arrangements are awesome!
For as many games I have for mine, I hardly use it as well. To be fair, I do mostly prefer playing on PC whenever possible, though. It is nice since it plays most of my 360 games as well, plus a good amount of the games I have for the original Xbox.
Don't think I have anything in particular planned. Need to fill up my gas tank, but that's about it. Do have a free branches I need to clear out too, they're pretty dry now, so should be easier to move.

Saturday will involve me going to the library and the grocery store as well as spending a bit of time with my step-dad. Sunday will involve, hopefully, me visiting a cool local furry event. All depends on my health. Fingers crossed.

Sounds fun, maybe? What are you looking to check out at the library?
Furry event huh? Can't say I've ever been to one, though I have been to a few anime cons.

File: 1631945671689.jpg (185.99 KB, 909x606, 3:2, Fox_looking_out_at_the_Cin….jpg) ImgOps Exif Google

I'm needing to return different things, but I might decide to keep them even longer. Not sure. Was also going to print some materials out on their computers, maybe, since I've no printer in my apartment. I also like the relaxing atmosphere at the library.

In terms of the furry related event, I'm not quite sure of what'll happen. I don't know the location. I think that it's a public park and that peeps will simply hang out.

File: 1631948723866.png (1.14 MB, 975x1066, 75:82, 1612487369469.png) ImgOps Google

Ahh, sounds like a pretty full trip then! They can be quite comfy, though it's been quite some time since I've been to one.
Hmm, sounds the planning wasn't so great with that event, but I hope it ends up being fun!

Ah, after double checking notes that I'd written to myself, I can see that it will indeed be held at a large public park at night. Should be fun. I think.

Have one more musical recommendation (this piece is so smoothly appealing that I wish I could somehow kiss it):

File: 1631950897748.png (163.66 KB, 632x852, 158:213, 9d9.png) ImgOps Google

I love this track to pieces:

Yeah, the furry events that I've gone to in terms of public meet-ups have involved snacking, having drinks, dancing, listening to music, and otherwise simply being social outside. Akin to a large family gathering. It's nice.

I've got a lot of appointments for whatnot to set up and go to, myself. Should be able to have fun in terms of social connection with LGBT support group sessions and other things.

Yeah, coronavirus times have definitely caused huge changes. I'm naturally introverted (and more) anyways. Have to push myself to make connections. I'll try harder.

Hmm, well appointments can be good. What's the support group like?
I just try to avoid too many people as often as I can, which maybe isn't the healthiest way to take on life, but currently I'm in a safe and stable environment where I don't need to step out of any comfort zones.

Whatcha find?

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (which I mostly bought for collections' sake), The Crow, Good Bad and the Ugly and Bullitt on Blu-Ray.

Thelma & Louise, Honey I Shrunk the Kids and Dances with Wolves on DVD.

Bullitt and Honey I Shrunk the Kids are the only ones I haven't actually seen before, but hey, do I collect or don't I collect?

So I hear. And I have seen very little of Steve McQueen outside of The Blob, so there's that too.

Yeah, it's a comedy classic I have never gotten around to. Plus, I love Rick Moranis.

And furthermore, it was written by Stuart Gordon and Brian Yuzna, and I GOTTA see what a family comedy looks like to these two horror guys.

Hehehe, well it's more that I like robots, but maids are very nice too.

She's a robotic nanny called a Nandroid. Nandroids have to go through training before they are to be sold to a family, and there they learn all sorts of things, from arts and music, to social etiquette and child care. She ended up with the Delaire family, and has been their daughter's caretaker since she was around 3 or 4 years old.
While it started as a slice of life comic, and has been for about a year, it seems like it's finally heading in the direction that the concept art was showing. Sadness ahead, once it comes back from hiatus.

Ahhh, sorry about that. Personally I'm not that into furry stuff, and I keep my LGBT stuff a bit on the DL. I do like music a lot though, but I find talking about it a bit hard, something I like to just listen to and experience!
It's very nice, love how it looks!
Mhm, I do I do! Would you like it?

In terms of music, I really like looking up foreign artists outside of what's usually heard in the Anglosphere, and what I just listened to is a great example (rock from the Czech Republic):

File: 1632027938676.png (87.59 KB, 429x432, 143:144, 358794b1fc2d347da46bd26e73….png) ImgOps Google

That's a very interesting sound! Haven't ventured too far outside of English music myself. I mean, I like a fair amount of Japanese stuff, but that kind of comes with being an anime and manga fan.

I try my best to find a nice variety of materials to listen to!

As for what you said in >>1097634 in general, don't worry... I more than understand. It gets very awkward very fast to talk about LGBT life in terms of everything from dating struggles to body image worries to media representation thoughts and more. And the furry fandom is honestly quite the unusual niche in terms of the internet.

File: 1632030400857.png (622.51 KB, 1347x2071, 1347:2071, 6bdc47884812f576755ae8a243….png) ImgOps Google

Is nice to have some variety! I find myself listening to the same things over and over again quite often.
Mhm, yeah... I dunno, don't feel good about myself in a lot of ways, so it's hard to talk about stuff. I feel like furries aren't quite that niche anymore, still a little fringe, but definitely larger than they used to be.

The fandom definitely has grown considerably, especially over the past decade-ish in multiple ways.

I've got a phone that could use multiple apps, and I've also put tons of releases onto my iTunes on my laptop. Honestly, though, I'm pretty addicted to YouTube. Almost exclusively have used it for a while. I like to work on my playlists so much.

Am listening to this right now, and I think that you'd also enjoy it quite a lot:
