It can be big or small. Doesn't have to be anything special. But you have to have something to share! It's illegal to post in here without even a minor praise for yourself.

For me, i beat this song on Beat Saber and was so pleased i had to post it on YouTube to show off! I am still floored that i completed it, it's unreal. The first time I played it i thought it was way beyond anything I could ever accomplish in the game.

Yeah, it's a lot haha. Just watching it again I feel overwhelmed and I'm the one who did it!

I like the original a lot too! My gender is a swarm of bees, so i understand their feelings well.

But I bet you can do better than that! You probably did a lot of good things that you don't even think about or recognize. Helping a coworker, going out of your way to say something nice to someone, even just being kind to yourself and putting your best out there.

It's impressive. I'd like to try VR again sometime.
My only experience is the mansion on the original oculus rift.

It's so damn cute! I feel like I might die from cuteness overload when I watch it!! My gender is a lot less scary I think?

Yes, vr is a lot more fun than I first imagined! I only got the thing because we make the Quest, but it quickly became my favorite. Probably evident by how much time I must have put into beat saber haha.

I call that kind of thing Weapons Grade cuteness! Deploying that kind of ordnance is technically a war crime! An adorable war crime~

Honestly i never once considered "a swarm of bees" to be a scary or dangerous thing. I've joked that my gender is a swarm of bees dozens of times without once considering it! Bees are pretty chill, ya know!

Then what's your gender like? Milky toast?

I got over 60% mastery on Radiohead's "High and Dry" playing rhythm guitar on Rocksmith. Not 100% mastery, but it's like a breakthrough cause it's taken me a long time to develop the muscle memory be able to switch between chords quick enough for such basic song. But it's song that uses a really common chord progression, meaning that mastering it reduces the learning curve for a ton of other songs.

You did a great job! I love all the little details, like that right knee. Did you design this character from scratch?

Also, you have my permission to be proud without also balancing it out by putting down your life!

>>1086239
Something like 70 hours at this point i think. I like to think I've played it a lot but realistically it's a workout and you can't just sit there and grind on it all day! I think I did two hours at once one time and nearly fainted haha

Hmm, my gender is scary to a lot of cis people so i guess it fits?

If you've never met a swarm of bees how do you know you prefer them 1:1? I've watched videos of a woman scooping up handfuls of bees with no protection so she could move them in a new hive. Most swarms of bees are just trying to get by, not wanting to hurt anyone. It's really the wasps you need to look out for, I would never want to be a swarm of wasps!

That's a pretty nice gender! Is there also a swarm of bees in the meadow? I feel like every gender would be improved by a swarm of bees!

>>1086246
What are you working on with the car? You seem really handy so I bet it's something interesting!

>>1086251

>>1086262
That's quite a few hours! What else have you been playing? VRChat?

Can the not-scared cis people make your gender produce something sweet that other cis people will like? Or does the analogy begin to break or something?

Don't scoop the bees! What's wrong with people!? A lot of bees actually live solitary lives. Maybe my gender is more like those bees then?
Wasps are the worst.. Except maybe the fig wasp I suppose?

No swarms in the meadow! Bees must fly at least 3 feet apart! But there's a pond with frogs and it's surrounded by woods and there's a small cabin with a nice porch. And there's a rocking chair on the porch.
It's a very specific gender.

I spend most of my time in beat saber haha. I'm apparently that kind of vr player. But another game I sometimes boot up is called Shooty Fruity! https://youtu.be/6HL4MULnmgY

Vr chat was one of the things I was most interested trying at first. But then I got hung up over what my avatar would be in it! I'm like, do i just grab a generic thing? Or do i make a full blown fursona and commission a model! I mean, I'd be down for that, but I haven't really dedicated much thought to what my fursona would look like. So basically, I'm putting up roadblocks to trying it out! If i had any friends into it that would be different, I'd just figure out something i get in the game. But I have no such luck!

Uhhhhh, my gender produces bizarre clothing and makeup combinations! But I don't think the non scared cis are very fond of that.

If you want to be a lonely bee that's okay, you can meet up with other solitary bees to make a swarm during swarm appropriate moments!

Does your meadow have bee law enforcement which measures bee separation distance?

It's a nice gender! Better with more swarms but nobody is perfect!

i'm proud of my choice to quit my job and follow my passions. i mean, i did the math and weighed the pros and cons, and in this case the worst case scenario was "i will need to find another job" so it was not a life or death situation. but it still took a lot of gumption to choose to do that.

You must still have at least some hope left in you somewhere or something.

Sorry for the late response. Watching X-Files for the next podcast.

I didn't for a VERY long time at one point. Between... I wanna say ages 19-ish and 25 I barely drew at all. Not that I was particularly good at that time, but it does also add to feeling like I've "fallen behind" immensely, or that it's "too late" to do actual studies (which I seem to lack the drive / determination to do on my own anyway). I tend to not view the class as "lessons" either, more me loaning kids the tools and being there to help out. Which might just be my dumb ass mind trying to justify how I can 'teach' despite no tfeeling that good about what I do, I dunno.

Well, with current restrictions (which are now getting rapidly lifted, thank God) it'll be an audience of 40-ish people if we sell all tickets. We currently have sold half, though, and they are NOT taken by friends, but actual listeners. So yes, that is pretty cool. And we still have a month to sell the rest, so it doesn't seem unrealistic to have it sold out

Posting with cute anthros, interested in vr chat, watches Foofi... says they aren't a furry. Hmmmmmmm!

Actually, that video was one of the reasons i was mildly interested in vr chat in the first place. Looks cool, but I still don't know how interested I am in flying solo in there. You might say the point is to find friends so you aren't going solo! But i have motivation and energy limitations and I'm realistically not likely to try it under my current conditions. Maybe conditions will change, I've considered joining a furry discord server at times. I actually have no friends who identify as furry which seems like a gap of sorts. Though at the same time, it's a very mild aspect of my own life.

Sure, let's stretch this analogy to the breaking point! Some cis people just really aren't into gay, gender non conformant honey. Weirdos, right?

Sorry for the even later response. Stealing a pancake, borrowing a pressure washer, playing with aforementioned pressure washer, showering because of aforementioned playtime, buying and eating food.

All I'm going to say about all of that stuff is that you're drawing now and you were there for those kids. That's really what matters.

20-40 paying listeners is amazing. Is it hard to get metrics for podcasts? like, can you see how much you've grown since you began putting them out there?

Would I, the milky toast, ever lie to you?

It does seem like it could be fun, but I get you. It's also very confusing to just go in there. A friend who could act as a guide would be preferable I guess.
Are you trying to collect all the friends or? Did you catch a hiking friend last week?

So weird! Who doesn't like rainbow-honey? I mean.. I'm not gay but I'd spread that honey all over my yoghurt and granola.

Hmm, I can't argue with that. Since you wouldn't lie you couldn't be lying about not lying either!

I do try to make friends with everyone I meet. I wouldn't mind collecting all the friends either! I generally like most people and interacting with them. Though usually it's pretty surface level friendship and trying to go deeper than that rarely works out in my experience. So you kinda gotta try making it happen often enough if you want to find those kinds of people you really click with! So I'm always in that market.

>I'm not gay but I'd spread that honey all over my yoghurt and granola.
... This analogy is really going places! That's gotta be a new, never before heard sentence, haha

How many bees make a swarm? Are you sure that two isn't enough? I'd be careful cuz it sounds like you have many small swarms on your hands!

funny, i've been to a few casinos, primarily because my family likes to do so. it's easy when you go in with the mentality of "i'm paying 20 bucks to have a good time" instead of trying to make it rich. besides, they usually serve you free soda, and sometimes even beer at certain places. they also often have the best food buffets (at least in my experience)

well today was my friday, so i spent most of it at work. i still have one more week to go until i'm free! I did work on a couple projects, and am looking forward to them. I did some research on things that i'm interested in trying on my platforms.

one negative thing is that our dog, maggie, has a sudden bout of vertigo that came out of nowhere! she i's stumbling and having a hard time walking in a straight line. there are no vets that are available at this time, so she's going to have to wait till monday. i did google what it maybe, and a common thing that keeps popping up is Vestibular Disease, which can have some variance in underlying issues, but is mostly benign. So she maybe alright

but the general consensus between my dad and i is that if she's not looking better by monday, we're taking her to the vet.

how about you?

Would you be able to occupy that much life without work? I'm aiming for the option of early retirement but I feel like there's a good chance even if I get there I'll still want to be working. Honestly, i hope I can just do 30 hour or even 20 hour weeks eventually but still have a job to structure my life around!

>>1086369
Even being of the mind you are paying entry, I'm not sure where the good time part fits in! I've won a big jackpot once and was up some hundreds of dollars once and still felt i had a bad time. Cuz is just boring! You aren't doing anything actually engaging. Plus, I've never been motivated by money for whatever reason. If a million dollars fell in my lap I'd hardly flinch.

Ah, sweet freedom soon! Can't wait to see what kind of projects you have in the works.

Oh, I hope Maggie will be alright! It's so stressful having to wait it out before you can get answers. With any luck it'll be nothing serious and resolves itself.

I'm good! Tired. I spent the whole morning devouring a book and once through with that have spent the rest of the day catching up on life tasks. Apartment was a wreck, hadn't vacuumed in a couple weeks, needed to take care of several odd tasks. Actually, right now I'm watching my Indian friends wedding! She recorded it since things are pretty bad in India right now. I was originally planning to travel to India to attend but covid dashed those hopes! Pfft, I don't even keep secrets. That's my big secret!

It's a Japanese light novel called So I'm A Spider, So What?. Standard isekai stuff, this time protagonist is reincarnated into a spider monster and has to survive the brutal fantasy world. The isekai genre is a little packed no doubt, but I'm a pretty basic bitch so I don't care that this is very unsophisticated stuff! In fact, that's what appeals to me, it's just simple, fun, and you can't help root for the spider! I love it~

It is literally impossible for me to tell an untruth.
I just enjoy furry stuff from the sidelines.

Guess it's always easier making acquaintances than making "friend friends"?
But I hope you get to collect all of the friends eventually. What friend would you be in another friend's collection?

We're going where no analogy has ever gone before!.. Or maybe not?

3 is a crowd but it takes a bit more to make a swarm I guess? Otherwise the bee cops would create a swarm every time they needed to get two bees to spread out. Or simply by moving around the meadow? I'm gonna say 9 is a swarm. 3 crowds = 1 swarm. Yeah.

>>1086340
I thought we were doing the thing where we tell why we didn't reply sooner? My bad.

So a co-host? I assume you don't just sit in the corner while your friend records?
That's some nice growth! Guess that's what being in a niche is. But nothing is stopping you from branching into something less niche at some point in the future. If the listerners like your stuff there's a good chance they like you too. Probably enough to follow you down a new path too.

It was just quite the story.

Well yeah. We both go through and analyze every episode scene by scene. He's a mega fan who's seen the show several times, and I have never seen it before. So we research the episode top to bottom, and while he covers behind-the-scene strivia, stories and whatever, I'm the one who checks up if the various myths, sciences or popular culture referenced in each episode adds up. Like if, say, they are  facing a Poltergeist that episode, are they using the term correctly, are they referencing any famous cases, etc.

Who knows. We have our hands full with a series that has 11 freaking seasons two movies and plenty of side maerial. We're only almost through Season 4 at present. I'll likely be 40 by the time we finish.

Next, I would say our fish is an underrated star. It is either a seared trout or salmon depending on what we have on hand, on a bed or roasted vegs mixed with sea island peas that is nested in our roasted garlic black-eyed pea hummus.
Lastly, I think or vanilla cream cheese tarts with glazed berries are to die for.

i already posted it in another thread, but i'll post it here in a hide so you can read it too ^^

I've been watching this new anime called " 've been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level" and it's about a burnt out salary woman who dies and gets sent to a world where she gets to relax and just do regular work and killing slimes for 300 years, then maxes out her stats and becomes one of the most powerful beings in existence

it's cute, has a lot of slice of life moments, and has a really positive message about taking care of yourself, don't overwork oneself, and being mindful of your needs. its lovely <3

in the latest episode, a rabbit girl named Kuku tries to sing "death style" minstrel music to a crowd, which is basically death metal and passes out from hunger. The main character azusa and her friends bring her in to their place to feed her and help her out. A dragon girl named Flatorte brashly but fairly points out that her style of music isn't very popular and won't get her mainstream, and through the episode everyone helps Kuku make a gorgeous song.

then... well i invite you to watch the video.

I don't often cry about anything. but this scene... it hit me so so very close to home right now... and both Kuku and Flatorte's moment at the end of the episode is brilliant and i will watch it time and time again T_T

creatives have a hard life in that it's reliant on the interest of others, but we choose to live it because it's our calling, even if nobody listens time and time and time again... we still try...

so... yeah... this sequence is very special to me <3

well i'm where kuku is now. somebody who's trying to make their artistic dream come to life, but seems to not making it anywhere.

watching her finally break through was inspirational, but something i've seen in other places. BUT WHAT MADE ME REALLY GET EMOTIONAL was when Flatorte, the blue dragon girl who told Kuku to play more popular styles of music, played her own Death/Punk style song at the end, and telling Kuku that she played that death style of music for so long because it was in her heart, that she should never forget that, and she can go back to it any time she wants to!

like... damn that got me <3 it was a message that i was not expecting at the end, and while Kuku can now be a shining star, she can always come back to where she has lived and played the most, and that there is no "wrong way" to go about it, as long as you never truly quit.

it is amazing <3 i was so overwhelmed <3
