for me, i have a method that works about 70 percent of the time, and it's called "rip off the bandaid"
i know what i want/need to do, but i'm not doing it, well most of the time it's just a matter of starting, so i must rip off the bandaid, i.e. just getting started
once i get started, i find it's easier to maintain my momentum and i get things done
but sometimes i peter out really quick, and that's usually okay ^^
but if you just get used to starting, ripping the bandaid off, you start to see more production!

the japanese have a philosophy called Kaizen which means "continuous improvement"
they believe that what's the most important is forming the habit of doing instead of what you produce in a single sitting. if you have a habit that allows you to create, then over time you will make something, even if it's only in small incriments
so think about it, you sit down, write a sentence, and then stop
then you do it again the next day, then the next day, then the next day
eventually, it will feel weird NOT to write. it will be second nature, and if you are compelled to write, you will in time write more and more ^^

Name of the Rose is a murder mystery set in a monastery inb the 1300s, starring Sean Connery and a very young Christian Slater. Monks are turning up dead, seemingly all after reading a particular book at the monastery's restricted library. It's basically a (very dark) Sherlock Holmes story set in the dark middle ages, with the literal structure of society itself impeding the investigation.
Melody Time is one of the anthology films Disney made in the late-forties/fifties sometime after the war. Seven little shorts based on music by various popular artists at the time. This is where Disney shorts like "Little Toot" and "Johnny Appleseed" came from.

Christian SLATER. Not Bale.
No. But they are from another movie from the same era.
More specifically, José was introduced in a segment in a film called "Saludos Amigos", essentially a set of shorts based on South America (with footage of the Disney Animators visiting the country as wraparound), and he does appear in a segment in "Melody Time". Panchito didn't show up until the movie CALLED Three Caballeros.

A lot of them are like, clearly old and ragged, Ron Perlman plays a very physically deformed and mentally challenged hunchback, several of them have other physical handicaps... it's quite the sight.
It's more that there's just really very little structure to it. Like aside from all of them being performed by contemporary artists, there's very little in terms of a shared theme, or even similar art styles or anything. It's just seven shorts in a row with a brief introduction. Saludos Amigos at least has them all be about South America in some way, and Fantasia has all of it b eing classical music and being one of the first of its kind and quite experimental going for it.

I hope you enjoy playing the scary games

>>1071396I do, I really do. I enjoy spooky stories in general, and playing these smaller-studio / DIY horror games is so fun to me, cause I get to see the wild ideas people come up with at home that'd never make it into Triple-AAA titles. In exchange for things being super polished sometimes, sure, but it's very interesting to me, and I like recording my reactions, my thoughts and what feedback I can give (keeping in mind I am NOT a dev myself and just try to do so from a player perspective).
I mean no one watches 'em sure, but eh, it keeps me active.

>>1071213I'm more of a low functioning procrastinator myself.
>>1071384I never get motivated under any circumstances! Given the option, i'd do nothing every day the rest of my life. Being awake is already exhausting enough.
>>1071385I've never met a person that could be relied on for that nor would i think it be helpful. An accountability buddy is nice, but encouragement and moral support are worse than nothing to me.

>>1071417Already did it, but what it was was a self and team evaluation. Hate having to account for who did what, who deserves what credit, who deserves what blame all while being mindful that they are writing something about you. It's kinda political, even though it shouldn't be. I remember once in this class i did more than most in that group but i was really humble in my review. Well, clearly the others weren't because my professor gave me a C+ while everyone else got much better grades. A dude i had split most of the work with got an A+. Distasteful work if you ask me.

>>1071419>Really? How so?For starters, i don't lack for anything that would provide me. I have an abundance of self confidence and my emotional needs are well taken care of already.
But it would be detrimental in the sense i would feel less stress and pressure to perform and that pressure is one of the few things i can harness to act on disagreeable tasks.
>>1071419>That's messed upIn my experience, that's what i can expect from people most of the time. I don't think people are universally awful or anything, just self serving and ready to throw you under the bus when it's convenient for them.

So you're rather self-sufficient then! I'm somewhat of the opposite type myself. I have a much easier time functioning with people around me -- preferably on me and in skin contact with me as well.

>>1071427It can be a bit much! I like having either someone hugging me from behind or the side, if I'm writing, or having them in the bed for when I take a break.
My boyfriend studies from home, so sometimes we spend literally all day intermittently working and cuddling.
