Pick a video game song that you think is your theme song: the one that would come on when you entered the scene, or that would be your motif if our lives were a video game.

...what a great choice, Ella. i remember when i was much younger, my sisters and i loved playing Kingdom Hearts, but especially my youngest sister.

i learned how to play Twilight Town on the piano, just for her!

It is a great theme song for you, Ella. It is a song that feels like a relaxed, warm, nostalgic evening.

>It is a song that feels like a relaxed, warm, nostalgic evening.

Yea, exactly.

God, I have so much nostalgia with that game. I think that was the first game I ever played with an actual story going on.

But yea, if I can, I try to keep my life peaceful XD

I loved the one you picked for yourself. That's beautiful and perfect. It reminds me of the type of music I would hear in Wolf's Rain.

Bastion is one of my favorite game soundtracks. i like both Build That Wall and Mother i'm here... but i probably sing build that wall more of the two

i could never figure out what the story was in Kingdom Hearts. but i loved that game so much, i have nothing but great memories of playing it and swapping out the controller to my sister.

it was great. i like a peaceful life!

Aerith is my favorite character, i think, in any form of media. maybe with the exception of one cute yellow pony, of course!

i relate very much with her!

i actually do not really find the Dark Souls games to be anything like as challenging as they are said to be. They are more like reflex puzzle games, in that you need to get the muscle memory, and memorize the puzzle mentally

the only resource the game asks of any player is not skill, but time: time to grind each boss or something until you memorize exactly what their telegraphs look like.

...i want to play an enjoy it, but it is so brutally unpleasant for someone who does not memorize well like i. i beat the first boss, and stopped playing, not because i couldn't continue, but because i really didn't find it fun to sit and memorize things, like i am learning Chinese characters, or doing math problems.

...that said, it is a scathing review of the game from me, and i admit, i hadn't approached it with the proper frame of reference. one of these days, i shall have one of you teach me how to have fun in that game.

>>746987
oooo, Ella, i think they are still very good! Final Fantasy 7, in particular, holds up very well. But, there is also a remake coming out... someday. i am very excited, and hope it can be good

Well I didn't have to memorize that much while playing any Dark souls games.

>>747057
i love Stellaris, myself! i almost always play a xenophilic, spiritualist, pacifist empire. Always psi-shroud route.

Sometimes, i go extremely xenophilic, and drop pacifist though, if i want to be more fighting. usually, it ends up about the same.

start and build a giant federation, convert the universe to xenophilia like me. If i get really far ahead, i will build many vassals instead of a federation.

But i won't integrate them. E Pluribus Unum!

There are times where i will join wars that i can barely help in all the way across the galaxy, just to defend some poor peaceful empire from a big evil xenophobe fanatic empire.

Even if i cannot win the battle, i can protect. Plus, it gives me something to focus on to destroy!

When you aren't being so hard on yourself, i like this one for you c:

Fun and charming, goofy and enjoyable to spend time with. Possibly the most powerful creature in the universe?

Fitting? Well not the "most powerful in the world" thing.

I don't feel like I am very good at gauging what makes good theme songs / musical accompaniment for certain people.

I've never played this game and I wouldn't call it my theme song, but I realized I have a lot of respect for Doom Guy. I think I could learn a lot about life from him.

On top of that, you can lift boulders and blow yourself up into a balloon, and are nimble enough to fly through the air using your pigtails yet intimidating enough to make giant crocodiles weep for mercy?

what doesn't matter is how fast you go, but rather that you are going. so it's okay if you aren't as productive as you like, just as long as you are doing something!

I'm helping someone with their thesis at the moment. They're building a little autonomous boat and want to be able to control and monitor it over 3G. The whole architecture of the project could be better in my opinion which has resulted in slower progress.
