Hey, I'm doing really well. I was productive Sunday. Spent time with my dad at his place. My mother and younger sister at their place. Took out trash cans. Cleaned off things with the hose outside. Changed lightbulbs. Did laundry. Put away laundry. Cleaned up my apartment a bit. Listened to great stuff on music threads while also recommending more great stuff (not so productive, I suppose, per se but fun). Hanging out in artist threads having requests done for me and otherwise just enjoying the atmosphere there (ditto)

I also had plenty of time to relax. Watched a James Bond film that I live. Had some roasted chicken. Nice times.

It just got more and more transparent that every fucking book was less of an actual tone of I knowledge and more of what I went out of my way to call "deliberate self-indulgent vocabulary masturbation". Every book was just a race to see who could come up with most new needlessly complicated phrases the fastest, and it just bothered me entirely too much.

The straw that broke the camels back for me was when I had to read a book on humor theory for a paper, and the book spent literally thirty pages dissecting a Laurel and Hardy gag just to reach the conclusion that "joek funy cuz surprise happen lol". Damn near threw the fucking thing out the window.

>>1060373
It's definitely part of why I never pursued the Masters after all nobody cared what I actually wrote or thought. It was all about word counts and page limits and whether or not I happened to refer to a book teacher liked rather than whether I made any new points or said something smart. Just wore me out

oh yes! also his costume is bat themed, he fights a cast of colorful characters, including animal based ones. and in some canon's, he marries catwoman. and he has an need to call everything "Bat"-x. he's totes a furry!

I most often draw traidtional pencil sketches, simply because I am old enough that I didn't get tablets till much later. I really should learn to properly sketch digitally.

From there I just take a picture of it with my phone and transfer it to my computer. I use Clip Studio Paint as my art program, and dra using a Huion Kamvas Pro 13 display tablet. When I hold my classes, I use a Huion Inspiroy H950P desk tablet, as that's the one I let the kids borrow.

My basic point is that it's just undeniable that each one has defined the character for a generation in their own way, which only further cements his status as archenemy. I can shake my fist and pine for a Mad Hatter movie all I want, but that still doesn't change anything.

And even with writing, well, I've been non-creative ever since coronavirus times hit... not that I wasn't also steadily getting less and less creative before then... ahhhhh...

Here's an example of my artwork:

I'm confused. An art tablet shouldn't need an internet connection to function. You should be able to just plug it into your computer and draw that way. And yes, practice is the only way. I fee llike absolute ass at it quite often stll.
