I've seen talk about this on other websites, and I'd like to throw the question out there for us to chew on as well. Some people like to get high. Obviously, it's fun for those people. But do they actually learn from it? Are psychological insights gained? Experiences made that improve things?

>For those here that have gotten high more than once, honestly, has it actually done anything positive for you long term?

Image very much related. And while we're at it, I wanted to make a rodent thread for us to post mice and rats in anyways. So let's do that too.

How are you doing tonight?

And, hmmmmmm, what do you think about the other side of this thread? You ever want a pet rodent? Or ever actually have one? What do you think of those little friends?

I've been experimenting with weed a lot lately. I think I've learned some things from the experiences. It's forced me to confront some really deep seated feelings. For whatever reason, getting excessively high dredges up some nasty stuff. Freaked me the fuck out the first time. But I've used it as an opportunity to challenge myself, to remove something I want out of my subconscious at the root.

So I guess that's cool? I didn't really expect to use weed in that way but that's what I get out of the experience.

Do you think that anxiety and depression genuinely lessens over time with weed, at least for you? And what exactly are we talking about? Edibles? Smoking with a bong? I'm curious.

Drugs are bad and people who do drugs are bad.

They do it because they want to escape reality, which is understandable, but not healthy.

 No.1059814

I enjoy getting high.

I think it's put a lot of personal things into perspective, allows me to thinkn about some things I might otherwise be too anxious to think about.

It's interesting how it exchanges one form of dissociation while causing another. Like, if I am derealized, im not emotionally detached.

i will say, one drug that i actually would be really really on board with trying, on the grounds that it is safe and not tampered with, is Ecstacy

after learning about ecstacy in my drugs and addiction class, i am thourgoughly convinced that it could be used to help so many people, and can have amazing benefits to those with depression, anxiety, and PTSD

I don't know anything about weed's impact on anxiety and depression, I'm not suffering from either of those. My problem is a crisis of identity.

Depersonalization - that was a really fucked up trip the first time. Ate 100mg of edibles just to see what would happen. I can't describe the experience other than it was horrifying. But I've tried a few times more to get back to that place to challenge whatever things live there. And I think it's helped me put some negative feelings at ease.

In terms of form factor, I don't smoke much, it's usually edibles or I have some in a tincture form now.

Some people use it to escape reality, but often time that's not really what it's about. Yours is a very narrow view of drug use and drug users. It's not bad inherently, in fact there are a ton of very positive things one can take from drug use when used a certain way.

I'll reiterate what I told you before (at least, I think that I told you this a bit ago). While social media in general and the news in particular is important in terms of getting connected and being informed, there really is a natural human tendency to get those things out of balance. It's important to have a kind of a 'news diet'. Look at science related material. Technological advancement reporting. Art, film, and music are all wonderful topics to see the latest information about. Get the whole full-course media meal, you know? Avoid the excessive doomposting.

oh you got me all wrong. none of what i said in the previous post related to that. i had that class last year and it was fascinating to learn about ecstacy, it's history in the US, and how in it's early years, it was used by psychiatrists to help people with various things like anxiety, depression, stress ect. and it had a massive success in treating all of those things. for all intents and purposes, it's one of the best drugs out there in terms of mental health and well being.

and as somebody who has anxiety and PTSD, it does have a point of interest for me.

and i do promise to cut down on the doomscrolling. i need to reiterate that i am in control of what i am, and not responsible for what i am not :PP

r.e. apartment situations

Personally, I feel extremely happy with where I live, but it's genuinely cramped in a way that would be frankly terrible to force a dog to have to live in, even a small one. Alas. I live in a nice college town type sort of area where dog-walking opportunities are all over, and I've got the time, so that makes the situation even more painful. Good thing, though, that I just like pets in general and aren't specifically just a 'dog person'.

This one was actually made mostly by a coworker, but I'll post it anyway because it's the most interesting food I've ever eaten. Pani puri! You crack a hole in the ball, fill in with the chana and whatever the crispy yellow stuff is. Then pour green water into the shell and quickly bite into it letting it all kinda explode in your mouth! Highly recommended if you have access to any kind of authentic Indian places. Usually have it as an appetizer.

Yeah, the first pet I owned myself was a feral kitten I rescued from the middle of the street in my apartment complex. The thing barely had any life left in it. But we got it to the vet and got her back in good shape. But earning the trust of a feral kitten isn't simple, took a lot of work. But after a few weeks we were inseparable! She'd be all over me the second I got home from work. Good times couldn't last though, while I thought she was healthy, I guess something lingered and struck her down very suddenly only a month or so in. July 31st. Guess I'll always remember that cuz it was maybe the hardest day of my life. Gosh, it's been maybe three years now and I don't really know how over it i truly am.

My bird passed almost a year ago now. Wow, it's been that long, seems almost yesterday. She wasn't even very old for a 'tiel but at least I got to have her for several years.

Losing pets is hard! Haha. My current cat we adopted has a heart murmur and dental disease. So like I'm probably a dummy adopting an older cat with health problems, but I will never regret it because he's an awesome and sweet catto!

Sounds you have some yikes kinds of neighbors! Everyone I've lived nearby had been very chill, and also very open to breaking rules, haha. So that helps when we all are on the same team.

I just stick to booze and caffeine. I don't really have any interest in any other sort of substance. I would in fact refuse if offered. I'm not making any sort of judgement on others, I'm just... not going to do any of it myself.

Chinchillas are cute.

Have you ever been able to see a chinchilla in person? I'd love to do that myself. Haven't though, at least not that I can recall.

It's a big building. There's cool people, but it only takes one person with no life to ruin things for everyone else.

oh yeah! i pumped up lisa, cause her AOE damage does a tremendous job with dealing with a lot of enemies at once

plus i love the Ara Ara librarian mom vibes <3

>>1059949
Fischl is my designated archer for sure!

however, Noelle and Xiangli are my 2 most used characters. I have a 5 star Jade spear on Xiangli that increases her attack damagewith each hit and it stacks several times, which is very handy

Beidou looks good. Fischl I tried but I need to figure her out yet.

I'm not very far so I only have the base party besides trading Lisa for Razor. I like Lisa too, but she fills a redundant role for me.

Fischl has got great DPS, and her unique attack really helps add on a lot of damage. i find her to be a bit of a glass canon, but she's an archer, so it makes it fair in that sense

and i understand that completely! it's good to have a blend of different players with playstyles and elements. cause otherwise you will make the game a lot harder than it needs to be. that's why i make sure to have at least one archer, one claymore, and one fire type in my party at all times
