I'm doing well. Woke up earlier than I needed to, I guess, but I'm listening to music (specifically, British ska group the Specials' first album) and reading stuff online about psychic powers. Going to probably watch a movie soon.

sounds like you have a productive day ahead of you ^^ and it's much easier and funner to do stuff when the weather is nice :))

today i worked a lot on my project, and i made a good dent in it! now i'm just sorta vibing

tomorrow, i'm switching gears and will be working on both a storyboard for my cinematography class; and then alternate with a sociology paper that will be due in a couple weeks.

then after that, i will hang out with a friend for a hike, while obviously keeping our distance with eachother.

that can certainly dampen ones ability to really get some motivation. however one way i combat that is by allowing the space for motivation to exist! like i use a series of alarms to signal when to work on stuff, and it works really well for the most part ^^

every day is a busy day when you have 4 classes that simultaneously dump stuff on you :DD

oh yeah, tis gonna be nice! it's gonna be like 70 degrees tomorrow, and i'm all ready for the warm and the sun <3

i will! while i miss hanging out with my friend in my room and playing games, these hikes have been a nice change of pace!

and the load sounds worse than it is. I just don't like the feeling of doing something i'm not 100% into because of a class, when i could work on something i want to. but i'm gonna graduate, so i will push through to the end ^^

aww i'm sorry!

>shares some sunshine :))

it will probably be a while, but i do believe that ultimately we will pull through and be better for the experience. while it's certainly awful, the numbers of asymptomatic people and rates of hospitalizations per population makes it seem that the individual risk is not so bad. but we don't want to risk anyone in our lives, hence why we do the social distancing.

lol, it's all good ^^

heh, i'm gonna get a hat and gown, but it's all gonna be virtual, so i'll just be on my webcam ^^ i'll have to clean my room a bit for graduation.

it's gonna be different for sure. Aside from the oldest people that survived the Spanish flu, nobody has ever experienced anything like this on this scale. a global pandemic is an era defining thing, and it's going to force a lot of changes, both on the small scale and big scale.

it will be a catalyst for change, both good and bad me thinks.

I ultimately think that this may actually make us make decisions for the better in the long run. forcing us to support programs that benefit the most people. and it's already shown how a small time in isolation has already positively affected the environment.

times of great struggles are also the times of greatest changes. and unlike all other eras of human history, we have greater interconnectivity, and greater knowledge and understanding overall

now there are plenty of ways that we can also suffer too, no doubt about it. and i'm sure there will be abuses and hardships that will be felt as well. but failure is felt immediately, while success is sown slowly and often is understood in hindsight.

So i remain hopeful through and through ^^

Mostly smaller dogs, but including one bull mastiff and one Newfoundland.

I have fond memories of going to the house of one of my step-mother's sisters, who kept a veritable zoo of house pets. I think that woman must have had at least twenty dogs, and who knows how many cats. My favorite dog was 'Bubbles', who, owing to some kind of disorder, ran around in perpetual circles almost all the time. There was a worn track in the yard from where it did this.

at this time i don't have a place to look for work right now. I know i will need to make a LinkdIn profile, and i should definitely make an online portfolio of my scripts and video shorts/animations

i also discussed my ambitions for after college. and to make a long story short, the big takeaway i got is to make a spec script for either a feature length, or a couple episodes of a series, and just spread it everywhere to see if anyone wants to at least option it. I already am in the process of something like that, although school has gotten in the way of that. but i'll have plenty of time afterwards.

outside of all that, i have no idea. I was thinking of maybe going onto Zoetrope and doing some script reviews and having people review mine, and maybe get some networking in that way. but i'm open to suggestions.

well my screenwriting professor and the department head for starters. they also suggested shorts, short films, and/or series

it seems a lot of it is more just who are you trying to sell to and for what reason.

i was also informed i could look into studios that are working on new app services, like Quibi. Their thing is "shows you can watch in the length of an average Uber ride" so the episodes are all 8 minutes. So i could make a short series of 8 minute episodes as well.

The 'short series' format sounds closer to what you already do. I don't know the industry, though. I've only worked with and around a couple people who come from it. Careers there seem built differently compared to a white-collar path. There is less stability. It's a matter of making sure your income exceeds your expenses, and being smart.

the problem with the entertainment industry is that each path to success is unique and only found after trial/error/ networking/and a substantial amount of luck.

you could be right in that my short series work would be the best option. and i have plenty of artifacts from that kind of writing to show to people. But i also know having a feature length that could get a big studio to be excited about is also a big plus.

so honestly, i just need a little bit of everything. and right now i'm working on an animated series bible/episode scripts

This particular instance... remember back when the EU banned all memes?  You know, that one thing from two years back which totally happened (and wasn't just a meme based on a real thing so extremely loosely it pretty much had nothing to do with reality at all)? Well, here we have a video which is full blast 2 minutes of "EU IS DOING IT AND IS LITERALLY HITLER FOR DOING IT", is serious about it, and so are all the hysterical commenters, from a guy with half a million subscribers (no idea how many he had at the time). The upvote/downvote ratio, you can see there.

This is just the latest one. I seem to have triggered something in the neural network that made it classify me as rabble that loves himself some goddamn rousing, so it keeps on trying to sneak some in. And all my protestations that I don't want that garbage in my feed seems to make it go "Ooooh, I see, so you don't like THAT sort of rabblerousing? I gotchu fam, I'll find you some other kind and just slide it in there". It just... it keeps happening.

The real thing went pretty much exactly as bad as it was ever going to go, on the EU side. We lost that fight. It's not a "could have gone way way worse" thing, we literally got (almost) the worst case scenario there. Yet notice how memes remain unbanned. This is because the "the EU is banning memes" thing was a meme and nothing more. The reality of what was going on was completely different and much, much more complicated (as well as the literal worst case scenario not being nearly as apocalyptic as the memes said). The "completely different" bit is important because it makes the meme made up nonsense, but the "complicated" bit makes it impossible for the truth to even start to compete (being about technical abilities, risks, concerns and possibilities of unintended consequences). It'll never get to be as succint as the punchy meme falsehood.

Eh, at this point I wish it would serve me up something to explore rather than just locking me into a cage of just the same things over and over and over.

It's a whole thing. To explain it I'd have to start by going into how the EU itself works, because that vote wasn't actually implementing a law. And then about the various bits and bobs of why this was even introduced and how it COULD be bad (as well as get into the fact that the text literally outright specified that no, they are not banning memes... as well as why that specification wasn't good enough to quell the worries). Like I said, it's a whole thing, and it doesn't really matter that much right now anyway, since the EU's kind of focused on other things right now. Actually, here's a good rule of thumb: anything you hear about the EU on the internet is probably bullshit. Make that your baseline assumption until you get actually informed to confirm/deny whatever the thing you've heard is. Because there's soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much bullshit out there.

I wonder... I wonder what would happen if I'd open a fresh account and leave an automatic clicker on overnight to go over the random recommended videos, switching to another one every 15s

We've still been able to watch a bit of anime together, we're watching eureka seven now, and they're both enjoying it a lot, so that makes us 3 for 3! We marathoner 10 episodes in a row first time we sat down to watch it, so it's a lot of fun! Playing borderlands 3 and watching star vs. when our non-anime friend is on. Apart from that, going back and playing the other routes of the fruit of grisaia.  It's a long game, but the moment-to-moment writing is engaging enough to not notice.

Part of me thinks that it's not a bad thing if you happen to be infected right now, dependent on where you live.

In the not bad case scenarios, you might build some immunity. (I don't want to think about the news that there is no immunity for Corona at all)
And we should be at the turning point of hospitalisations and people in intensive care. Should you get sick right now, there might still be a place to get the treatment.

Again, thinking from Europe's point of view, where numbers are turning around this month.

Now if you get sick when the second wave hits, you'ld be royally screwed.

Yeah.

Nearly the entire first third of the game has one of your earliest characters put on a bench until you clear his name of a crime he was framed for, so he's out.

Another character joins you at Level 10 when he rest of your party is likely level 15+, THEN leads into a long-ass qest where he isn't playable, meaning your party is likely Level 18 or so before you get him back.

AND he's the only one who learns a teleport spell early... at level 14. In a game where you have to go back and forth between the starting town and your new location for a good while in that first third.

It's, uh... a little clumsy. Still a great game though.

I am good! Work is stabilizing now that we have a lot of our essential staff back from quarantine, i'm getting extra pay, and my friends are all online, so we've been able to stream anime together, and now we're watching my #1 favorite anime ever of all time! Eureka Seven! They've really taken to it! And it's held up absurdly well for me, too. Haven't seen it in years! so it's like i'm falling in love with it all over again! 15 years old isn't really fossil age, I suppose it'd depend how old you were when you first watched it, though I feel like that was the good era of anime. More recent stuff is kinda crappy, if you ask me. Too many over the top characters and too much fan-service.

Early high school i think. Just nuts to think about.

>though I feel like that was the good era of anime. More recent stuff is kinda crappy, if you ask me. Too many over the top characters and too much fan-service.

Yea, this is why i think gatekeeping is important. Once a medium hits a critical mass of fans, you get less genuinely good writing and more pandering. This is how the isekai plague happened... Anyway, yea, that era of anime had a kind of vulnerability and authenticity that i think this era is severely lacking. Too much trend-chasing and pandering and not enough genuine creativity or desire to tell something meaningful that will remain meaningful long after the trends of it's era are long dead and gone. Funny, too that it even LOOKS better than modern anime. I think this era would be fine if more people actually gave a shit. I think anime has shifted from an art form to an entertainment product, and the problems we see now pretty much all stem from that.

No restrictions have been lifted yet, though we don't get fined if they catch us out and about, so I guess they're more relaxed. Good choice. I need to go back to it properly one of these days, as it's still a blast to play

I feel like it's an environment I can get work done in. When I'm at home, more often than not I get distracted easily, even if no one is home. Then again, I'm not really focused on one thing right now so my attention span goes everywhere

Yeah, AWS or Google Cloud. Either one would be good - the former has been a player for a while, but there was so much to remember in the course content. The latter is more recent has a more consolidated course, but the certification expiry period is less. It's like I'm in uni all over again, taking tests all the time

The next batch is planned, and I am gonna get a bit weird with it and angle things to give myself an option to talk about my own country, just for fun and to see if I can add a unique perspetive to some stuff.

As for drawings, no too big projects lately, though I have yet another comic I gotta get started on soon. The main interesting thing I've done lately is this

Aha, a lot has changed for sure. If there's one thing I'm not a huge fan of, it's matchmaking replacing the original server browser with the official servers and community servers bunched up

I'm doing that, I'm trying to learn new things every day, maybe pick up a new programming language while I wait to be in full work mode again. I also have some personal projects I can also get done, like the growing pile of video ideas in my head

Exactly, and the thing I'm most conscious about is getting a certification that I will never end up using, or it just is used as a booster for new opportunities. I don't mind the latter, but I want to be able to actually utilise it. I've done some experimenting in AWS while at uni, and more recently Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure, but my experience is more on the programming and configuration side rather than the infrastructure

Matchmaking? Damn, I'm gonna be a bit of a smurf then.

You're still doing videos? When did you do your last one? What do you do them about?

I've been using Openstack/Openshift/OKD at work. Though I've been doing programming too, but really how hard can setting up the infrastructure be. We have a team of like 10 contractors doing it and they seem to think that every little thing takes hours and hours. It's crazy. The inefficiency is why cloud is in demand.

Well, I started on my OWN comic nearly two years ago - or really, it's a fancomic, meant to be a little over 20 pages long - but I haven't touched it in like eght months now, which sucks. The reason I haven't, though, is because I have been doing short format  comics (eight page) for a newly established underground horror zine here in Denmark. If anything, the best part of matchmaking is that it brings a lot of varied skill types into the game, and if you invite your friends you'll always be on the same team (unless autobalance is being mean)

I don't list them publicly on my Youtube anymore, but it's just personal stuff to better my editing skills. I made my most recent one last week, but my last public one was maybe months ago. It's mainly just funny game moments I record when I remember to, and some RL stuff too, like that trip I took to Japan in '18 and am still trying to piece it together

I've never heard of Openstack, but it looks interesting. Depending on platform, infrastructure is just a few clicks away for the main components, then a couple of keyboards for the in-between stuff like security and networking

And a fun fact with contractors - we do that to better utilise our time. In actual fact, these things are really quick to do but, once you finish them way ahead of schedule, you have no other work to do! That way, we are always technically busy

As for streaming, I don't think I have the personality for it unfortunately, but the same couldn't be said for Youtube. Problem is my channel is already established as "that one channel that uploads funny MLP videos" so I need to decide what to do with it

But basically, since I knew I couldn't get too elaborate plotise anyway, I just decided to work out of some gnarly images that poppes into my head. The hunter with an arrow in the throat was first. The boar came second.

I've done one more of these that was released lately, but I can't put that online for another month and a half or so. And I've gotta get started on a third.

But yeah, it has distracted from the fancomic I WAS doing... that, along with general motivational issues and having a hard time believing I can do the scene that's coming up next. You'd think doing these shorter comics would give practie, motivation and some confidence, but apparently not.

Another benefit of being a contractor is being able to see different industries and maybe even different parts of the world. My brain is overloaded with finance

True, then it's on to the next best islanders!

Haha nice. Who might that be if you don't mind me asking?

Either is fine. Anime usually brings me out too :p

My fav islanders? Hard to choose, but hmm... out of all 10 of them, I have to say Vivian, Blanche, and Fuschia. I'd also include Lyman and Rudy but they're literally the same! How about you?

yup! perhaps you'll get Raymond, and make the rest of the internet jealous ^^

Her name is Skye... it was the second day of my time with animal crossing. and i just unlocked the ability to buy nook miles tickets. So i bought a few of them. the first one i got bubbles, then i got Raddle on the second one. Then i finally get to my third Island, and I see this gorgeous blue wolf across the river. I was so excited!

but i tried looking for a way over there... but there was no path behind the island like the other one i was on... i had no ladder, or a vaulting pole! I couldn't talk to her, i couldn't ask her to my island!

she was like 5 feet away, but she might as well have been on the other side of the world...

i had to leave the island, with only the memory and strong feeling of love out of reach... but i will find her again one day. and when i see her next, she will be on an Island that is worthy of her! She will know nothing but love and luxury when she comes back!

We'll meet again... don't know where... don't know when... But i know we'll meet again! some sunny day...

I know of Blanche! not too familiar with the others, but they seem cute ^^

for me, Skye has been a sort of obsession at this point. but aside from her, I really loved Beau from my time with him in New Leaf, and i love Raddle so far ^^

I also was able to pull in Marina, and she's a sweetheart <3

as for the other villagers? I don't know much else, i like all my villagers so far, like Rocket, Goose, and Bubbles. but beyond that, my knowledge is limited

you are sick, and you need time to heal! being a good worker is knowing your limits, and knowing what is best for you and others. if you go in while ill, you can get other people sick, and that could cause a lot of unhappiness.

a good worker knows that when they are sick, to stay home, so that they may heal, others stay healthy, and that when they come back they can do their best work!

you are a good worker <3

your past isn't you. it lead up to you, but it isn't you now.

you work tirelessly, you suffer so much to please those that you love, and to do what you think is expected of you. and each time you fell, you got back up and got back to work again.

these are not signs of being a failure

these are not signs of being lazy

you have one life and one body, and it needs to rest, to play, to laugh and to love. you can't do that if you give up so much for work!

you are no failure, you are life and love embodied, and you need rest to be the best you you can be <3

Yeah, a lot of models worldwide were affected, so anything I was looking at would've been off the list, unless seller had full history

The market here depends on what you're after. Because we don't make cars anymore, anything local is going up in price, Japanese classics are expensive obviously, but there's still plenty around, just in questionable condition

that´s what im planning to do ^^;
im paranoid as it is by now.

well during these last 10 years ive maybe had.. over 15 cars? i unno.

the first audi 100 i had to give up since i could not pass the safety tech inspection due the rear brakes diffed more than 25% and it was due to a very special type of brake valve mounted on the rear axle that was either too expensive to repair and almost rarer to find new

the second audi has some annoyingly troubled  engine problems and i could not trust that car handling even something small as a nickle.

the i had to sell the fiesta due it was some water problems ( and it started to be near winter ) and i needed the cash. as well the second fiesta  i could not get through the tech inspection due to some shenanigans

the last car before the volvo 940 was a volvo 360 with low milage that i had done a TON of work to make it road legal... but then an old friend to the fmaily called me and asked if i had a spare car over since he could not trust his v70. As the friendly person that i am i said sure and sold him that. since i could trust the mercedes w210..... only to broke  badly 3 days later and to much work to do to get it through the tech inspection in such short time. so got 300€ and a volvo v40 2.0 turbo as well a 1990 chevrolet astro van. so once im getting fully back onto the road and can work at work and car projects again i might be able to get them two road legal once again

.... again i can write so many stories and hobo reparis

i kinda don't wanna tell you, just because it's a pretty touchy subject. but basically we were given a big headline offense that really ruffled everyones feathers, and we had to try and come up with ways that we could have used a restorative justice lens to promote a more holistic outcome that would have done more good than bad.

my paper ended up being 9 pages long, so i'm a bit fried right now.

tomorrow will be better tho! i get to write up a shot schedule, revise a script, and put some more work on an animation project ^^

cause i was already a month and a half into the class when i learned that my credits were messed up :PP and this is my final semester. i graduate on the 15th, so i just wanted to power through this so i can finally be free ><
at least it makes more sense than the graduate level advanced statistics class i'm in :PP

i have one week left till i graduate! i'm very excited ^^

my animation is gonna be a few minutes long. see in my production class, we were supposed to be in groups of 8 people to make a short film. but the coronavirus thing forced us all online. so instead, we are all responsible for an individual film, and i Eizouken'd myself into making a short animation! i only had a month to make it, but i like how it is turning out so far ^^

i made it with adobe Animate :))

what about you? are you in school? out of school? in a career of some sort?

You graduate on the 15th!?! Congratulations! How exciting. Too bad about Coronavirus, I suppose that you won't be getting a ceremony. I can see how a statistics would be useful for sociology but not so much for media I guess you could get creative with it. I hope that you get your animation done on time, and everything else is on track for you to finish. How were you going with the group projects? Sometimes, I think it's better when you can avoid the group projects. The final product wont be as good but atleast you're in complete control of your destiny. I've never even heard of adobe Animate, I suppose it's some kind of rebranding of Flash?

I'm wildly, wildly out of school. I work a job and today is my first day back from 6 weeks of corona induced isolation, but I still get to work from home. All I can do from home is online training though, so I'm doing a Coursera course, it's nice and I really appreciate that they are allowing me to do this.

thank you, runbow ^^ i'm excited to finally be done with school >< and i will be having an online commencement. I got a hat, and i imagine i will have to clean my room up a bit to make it presentable :PP

eh i choose to think that it keeps me in perspective. as a film person, i'm naturally inclined to be artsy and one for symbolism. however regardless of how well ones artistic expression in film or any artistic medium is, it still can have consequences for better or worse! one example is 1970s South Africa where people would kill asian people on sight because they watched kung fu movies, and feared that if they got in a fight with them that they would bruce lee them to death. Now i guarantee that no kung fu film maker would EVER had even dreamed that as being a potential outcome of their films. but that is just it, we don't live in a vacuum. So while statistics is not directly related to film, it still gives me the tools, clarity, and skepticism to maintain balance in my approach to film making :PP

as for my other films, we only had one scene really filmed before the lockdown, so on one hand it's great that we didn't have to throw everything away, but it's still not ideal by any means.

>i think it's better when you can avoid group projects.

in film, every project is a group project, whether you like it or not :PP

but i definitely prefer this method! and yes, Animate is flash, the name was changed a while ago ^^

i'm glad you get to work from home! that's a relief for sure!

>coursera course

oooh what's that?

You'll have to clean up your room? This sounds like me everytime that I call my parents. It's nice to have an online commencement.  I never knew that about South Africa and Kung fu, it is true that statistics can be applied in so many places.

It must have been annoying scrapping the whole original project, especially if you were already up to filming.

Coursera is an online learning platform. They take 2nd-rate courses from big unis and put them online for a fee. Luckily my work is also paying for it so I have nothing to complain about. I'm currently doing a course in Machine Learning for work I do computer stuff.

Do you have anything lined up for after graduation? I guess it can be hard when you haven't been able to go outside for a couple of months.

yeah, i'd hate for my room to be messy while i'm walking down the virtual isle :PP

and it's true! like don't get me wrong, i get as artsy and fartsy as the rest of them, but i want to know what's going on in reality as well :PP

eh it's okay tbh, i wasn't really into our film anyways. it was a bit to generic and bland of a story

ahh that's pretty awesome! i heard a lot of high end colleges have been giving online courses for free like that ^^ i wouldn't mind doing that when i graduate, seeing as i don't have to turn anything in :DD

ahh! so are you a computer engineer? machine learning sounds awesome, but intense as well!

heh, the best i can do is make a profile, linkedin site, and to make scripts and storyboards to spam everywhere

this coronavirus thing definitely put a kink in my plans tho, since studios and companies are basically frozen right now ://

i want to be a script writer, storyboard artist, and/or an animator. and fortunately i can do all of those from the safety of my home. So for the forseeable future i'll be working on spec scripts and my youtube channel. I currently have a couple things i'm chipping away at, and i'm always putting stuff up on my youtube ^^

At least now that you're going it alone you have complete creative freedom.

There are heaps of great courses online but dedicating the time to do them is hard. It's so much easier when work is paying you to do them as your day job. Some of the stuff people do with Machine Learning is pretty intense but the subject itself is pretty dry, probably pretty similar to doing statistics.

Are there many studios that do filming/animation around where you are?

You have a youtube channel? What kinda content do you put up there?

that sounds like a great job to be paid for! you learn and you get money! win win <3 and maybe, although i definitely imagine you will be using your machine learning a LOT more than i will be using my stats stuff :PP

nope! i live in a small colorado town, so definitely not a lot of any sort of film/animation anything around here :// best i could do is probably commercial work, or to travel up to denver :PP

Oh, also I forgot to mention that even though it takes two weekdays for Paypal money to come to my bank account I could just leave it on my paypal account and use that to pay for things instead. And there's like Swish and shit as well I suppose.
Not that I'm expecting anything, I'm just saying it's not a hindrance if ya wanna buy commissions or anything like that.

The circle beard from this chart? That's pretty much what I have. Well, not right now as I've kind of let it go a bit so I'm currently doing the ol' neckbeard stereotype (HEY WANNA TALK SOME STAR TREK AND STAR WARS AND MAYBE WARHAMMER (actually I wonder if you had further thoughts on that in that other thread, or if that's all done, heh)), but it's what my usual "actually groomed" style is, and I'm planning on seeing corona through without changing it. For the glasses, I'm experimenting with folding the mask just right, so as to still keep my mouth and nose covered but redirect the air down and to the sides rather than upwards. What I've come up with so far... kind of works? But there's got to be a better way.

But Grade 1-5 has bee back in school for a few weeks, the rest are starting soon, and some small bars, cafés and theaters will be allowed to open on June 8th. Though, again, with an attendance cap.

We also had distance markers, hand sanitizer dispensers and sneeze guards in supermarkets within like, a week and a half of the lockdown. Theyre still up. And generally, people are good about obeying it.

I wouldn't be surprised if hand sanitizer sticks around even after everything is said and done - it's honestly just a damn good idea in general.

He basically asked if, now that things were doing much better, she had in hindsight "whipped up a panic storm" with predictions of how bad things could get.

She basically responded that, while she obviously wasn't as smart as he clearly was, she would like him to prove to her that things would have been fine if she HADN'T been as grisly in her predictions, considering "other comparable european" countries were currently doing far worse.

When he tried to back out of that with a "Well, I'm the journalist here and you're the prime minister", she simply gave him a dry "And if I may, that's probably for the best" and fucking left.

Still, it might be a bit of a tiresome topic by now, heh.

Hmm, good reviews, too. I will have a look, after I finish these other books I got recommended. Fire Caste mostly has... well, it's described as a 40k Apocalypse Now, but imagine that except the guy you follow on his journey up the river (more or less, the focus shifts) starting off insane[asterisk] and completely mentally overtaken by the jungle himself. The other point of focus are a regiment of fresh troops, but let's just say you get to see them stop being fresh in a rather rapid (and costly, always costly, all the way - no Rambos here) manner... and then continue on that trajectory. The planet with its endless war twists everyone and everything. The Imperial Creed actually gets twisted into something worse ("the Emperor condemns")... but then, so does the Tau's Greater Good.

Hey, What's happening?

Fair enough about going to sleep, I don't even remember what time that was (it was the middle of the day sometime for me) but I went to sleep since then too.
You reviewed two weird Trolls movies? You mean Trolls and Trolls: World Tour? Also, what horror games do you play through? Like indie ones (I know that's a really popular genre on youtube).

 No.1034922

>>1034921
Watching JErry Seineld's new Netflix special at the mo. Other than that, I did little today. Back on the horse tomrrow, so to speak.

No, not movies. I found out about some really awful animated series. When Troll Dolls were popular in the 90ies, folks tried to make a "boys' version" by essentially making a terrible Ninja Turtles knockoff basedo n the Troll Dolls. And then in 2005, anothe show called "Trollz" appeared, which basically just ripped of the Bratz dolls. I thought both were so outrageous that I had to bring em up since ,well, the dolls are from my country, so I had an angle.

Yes, very often stuff from Itch.io and Gamejolt, but also other stuff from bigger publishers. I like seeing all the weird ideas folks come up with at home, even if the game aren't as polished. I know it's an oversaturated thing, but eh, I have fun. And I like to try and leave some decent player perspective feedback cause I tend to at least always try and appreciate what they're trying to do even when i don't think i tworks.

Oh, they do sound really weird. Cartoons from the 90s especially (they're always the weirdest). I had no idea that Trolls were from Denmark, then again, I've never really known what they were, or what they were meant to be.
I dunno if I'd say that they're oversaturated, it's a popular genre because it's fun and there is so much indie stuff out there, it's crazy.

Its' a cute story, really. A woodcutter made one for his daughter for christmas in 1959. Suddenly, all the kids in the town wanted one and boom, four years later it's a hyge toy  fad in the US, and has a huge resurgence in the 80s and 90ies. inda wild.

Well yeah. I mean I do also play some RPGs and platformers, but theres always new stuff on Gamejolt and ITch.io, they're rarely longer than a couple hours, some even only 5-10 minutes long ,and you definitely get to see some ideas and approaches you don't see from Triple-A studios, so it's interesting to me. I've played some REALLY cool games by scouring Itch, Gamejolt and the unfiltered recent releases on Steam.

Not really. Well, in theory, I am doing fine. They usually say if you routinely get 5-10% the views as you have subscribers, you're doing okay. But I did use to far more often soar into 2000 or so views a lot faster. Now it usually takes a good while to break 1000. Dunno if I am just garbage at what I do or it's YouTube changing how everything works every five minutes that does it, but oh wells.
