If the mod team is seriously considering banning all images that contain a Nazi swastika, I would like the Communist hammer-and-sickle to also be banned.
But my preference would be to keep the same rules as before: shitposting with swastikas is verboten, but legitimate uses (e.g., screenshots from Wolf3D in an appropriate context) are allowed.

I just want the old rule to be put back into effect. That's it.
It never should have been gone in the first place.

As far as I'm concerned this was just an oversight and all I was trying to do was shine a light on it.

Alo ban Christian symbols while we're at it.
Or religion symbols in general.
They can be controversial.

>>4788>no more hammer n sicle
Why. has that symbol suddenly caused an influx of heated whether red-commies-are-taking-over arguments on Ponyville lately?
But you are just trolling itt on /canterlot, tsk tsk>>4790
it was there before n nothing was discussed about removing it on purpose.

All I've been saying is "put it back" but apparently that's been controversial.

I don't see any controversy here.
Im sure the mods will fix this too. Theyre slow like molasses.

You don't see it because it's all been deleted at my request, lol
I made a thread about it and then the nazi and nazi apologist anon came into the thread being racist so i remade it and Thorax deleted it for me.

>>4789>I just want the old rule to be put back into effect. >>4794>it was there before
There was never a rule that flat-out banned all Nazi swastikas. There were these two rules:>Rule 7. Do not post content of an aggressively, ironically, or trollishly poor quality, designed to derail discussions, or otherwise make the site unusable or intolerable to our regular community;>Rule 8. Do not post threads or posts that are deliberate provocations to certain users, or deliberate provocations concerning the topics of Race, Religion, Nationality, Political Opinion, or Membership of a Particular Social Group;
They covered the cases where people got banned for posting Nazi swastikas. Inoffensive posts with images that incidentally contained a Nazi swastika, such as discussion about The Man in the High Castle
, were posted and allowed.

My intent was to be dismissive of any weight to the words of nameless posters because they have no weight.
Like the one below, who argues against while his argument is actually
for a general ban having always been the rule here.
Good ol Thorax.
Im sure your reported unintentional omission in the rules will be corrected, the empty words of a false argument notwithstanding.>>4798
Was that too strong? Don't take it personally im just prejudiced against anons.

Why do you care so much?
This is the fourth thread on /canterlot/ about this shit. How the hell actually cares about supposedly “hateful” symbols. Not that anyone is actually posting that kind of ting here.
>>4800>supposedly “hateful” symbols
While I agree that the Nazi swastika is not inherently hateful, it is a symbol of a regime that is infamous for having committed truly awful acts. Even if people posting it are doing so not out of hate but merely as edgy shitposting, posting a swastika (in manner that indicates support or approval of the Nazi regime) really has no place on this site.
And most people who identify as Nazis or neo-Nazis are in fact hateful people. Back when you still subscribed to Nazi beliefs, you were a rare counterexample.
Of course a bigoted Nazi like you would never understand why hateful symbols are a problem. I'm not even going to bother trying to talk to you about it because I know nothing I say will have any effect other than causing an unnecessary argument.>>4798
You literally lack any ability to refrain from being a pedant, dont you.

You could say the same about virtually any other country.>>4804
Don’t worry about it. People are fairly tolerate of me, given my views.

You're right, and people should point out that sort of thing every time things like that happen.>Don’t worry about it. People are fairly tolerate of me, given my views.
I wasn't apologizing to you! (just kidding)
anyways, that's enough of this, I've already said everything relevant to the topic i can.

When people see the Nazi flag, the first things that usually comes to mind are the Holocaust and the Nazis starting a world war that decimated Europe. The modern German flag doesn't have this type of a strong association. It's not about the country, but about the Nazi regime specifically. I suppose the Nazis arguably did some good things as well (e.g., animal rights) but these are overshadowed by all the horrible things that they did.

Its kind of hard to see the good in someone when they just burn down a center killing 45 people in it but hey he found and nursed a box kittens abandon under a bridge right after the attack.

Yes, propogating pest species like kittens is pretty heinous.
How does burning down people mitigate the cat crimes?
